What do you think about Legalizing Marijuana?

No, they thought they could drive, so they drove and ended up killing someone.

It does cause deaths. The argument is ridiculous that it doesn't. Tobacco companies could argue the same if they wanted to, but even they're respectable enough to realize how poorly backed that argument is.

 

I never claimed that it didnt cause any deaths, but as my other statements above, it doesnt gives you anything good.
Alcohol doesnt either, however it doesnt gives that much side effects as Weed.

I do not have anything against weed, however i find it lame that people wants it to be legal.

I understand those who actually needs it, for medical purposes, but other than that, its a no for legalizing.
I know friends in real life that smokes weed, thats their choice, i just choose not to.

 

Being drunk and being high are very different. So dont come talking about this thread if you have never been high or drunk.

 

What I am pointing out is that Marijuana as a substance itself does not kill brain cells once its circulating your blood. You are 100% correct, CO is produced through the process of smoking but there are many ways to get Marijuana in your system more efficiently such as Brownies which get 60% more THC into your blood than a Blunt.

Unlike alcohol, which dehydrates your body causing brain cells to die.

 

How so? I know what alcohol does to my body as I've been drunk before multiple times, but not Marijuana as it is something that I have never really studied about, nor have I been high before. Marijuana is a big no-no in my country.

Now onto my point,
What I really do not like about people who are arguing in favor of Marijuana are those who act like they know what they are talking about, when they are just repeating the words of other people.

They obviously have barely, if not never taken any classes in chemistry or biology.

I want to see people arguing with scientific data, not what they have heard other people say.

is just dumb, 400,000 people died of tobacco yeah tobacco didnt help bet it wasn't the only thing that killed these people and all illegal drugs such as heroin & crack only 15,000 because less people take these drugs so death rate is small i would mind if they made weed legal but it would just cost stupid amount of money tbh the taxes on weed would be unreal.

So if you have never been high you cant fully understand the effects there for you are ignorant in your statements. If you have never experimented with smoking marijuana then how can you say it is unsafe ? You are just being a conformist and listing to what "Research" that has been done showing marijuana's negative effects, but in reality those experiments are bias. When i talk about the effects of marijuana i am only talking about personal experiences and what the plant has done to me. Also many of my encounters with alcohol have been much much worse then my encounters with pot. Alcohol undoubtedly impairs judgment but pot does not. At least in my own personal experiences.

If marijuana hasn't killed anyone neither has tobacco. The effects of these drugs lead to their deaths. Those numbers take into consideration the effects of tobacco but not marijuana.

 

Weed is more expensive due to it being illegal, this way the government make more profit.

 

Knowing the effects of being high and drunk doesn't require me to have been in those states of mind.

They both impair your judgement harshly and you should not be able to drive at such a time.

A very large percentage of illegal drugs/weapons get into the country via the government. How come there are so many guns on the street when they are illegal? Im from UK and its 5 years just for possession, yet I can walk round the corner now and get a Mac 10. Think about this.

There is no reason for government to make weed illegal, it was legal a long time ago in America, UK etc. and people were doing fine. Did you know that the Hemp which is obtained from Marijuana is a better material for clothes than Cotton? A pair of jeans made from hemp would be much more durable and have a longer life span. If weed was to be legalized pharmaceutics would go bankrupt as weed is will take up more than half of the medicine in the industry. Marijuana has been proven by man doctors all over the world to help treat Schizophrenia, AIDS, Alzheimer disease and many skin infections.

 

Marijuana does not impair judgement.

Sadly, my friend, it's been one of the key arguments in most Marijana Legalization discussions for a long time.

 

Legalize it, tax it, problem solved. Also, while marijuana doesn't have any detrimental physical effects, it does promote "addiction" and can cause apathy and some serious problems in life.
