    Explanation of the trade: BackInTheDay proposed 2 direct name-transfer deals(1. fresh account with name transferred to it, breaking Jagex’s current rules say players must not share, transfer, lend, or sell accounts, and that selling account names for real money is not permitted.), (2. complete access to jagex account with name for sale, also breaking rule), stated they did not want PMOD/mod-linked involvement or that type of middleman, and backed out when safer alternatives was mentioned. I am not alleging completed scamming from this alone, but I am documenting the interaction as a red flag trade attempt.

    How they scammed: ATTEMPT I am reporting this as an unsafe trade setup. The methods proposed appear to require prohibited account access/handling under Jagex rules and create obvious scam risk. I am asking staff to review whether this qualifies as attempted scam, unsafe trading conduct, or another Sythe violation.

    We do not punish users for breaking Jagex rules, as this is a black market for the game. Users are also free to choose whether or not they wish to use a middleman for their trades. If you are not comfortable with a trade, it's always best to go with your instincts.

    I'm going to close this as no scam has occurred and there is nothing here that would warrant any punishment.
