Should I stop smoking pot?

Stop quickly while your that age i started at that age and was smoking EVERY day and now 2 years later i quit and killed my brain:/

 

Government conspiracy bullshit. No its not addictive, but once you've done it long enough the high isn't what it used to be. That's when people start doing stuff that really does fuck them up.

 

I smoke pot most nights before bed, and it makes my sleep so much more restful, i feel far more refreshed the next day if i have had a joint the night before. Sometimes actually getting up can be a chore but you just have to have the drive too say "i need to get up now". At the end of the day, if your enjoying, it isn't effecting your education and you don't feel the addiction too it then by all means carry on. As far as physical damage too your body its safer than alcohol and normal tobacco. As for smoking it in the house, my parents are totally cool with it; they would prefer that im in the safety of my own home than out on the streets where you stand a chance of getting arrested. I've been smoking it 4-5 nights a week for about 2 years now and i've just recently turned 18. It didn't effect my educational at all and i'm in a stable job and have been for some time now. The only time someone is likely to become addicted too it is if there weak of will. Don't believe all the propaganda that's posted on here, 99% of people are just repeating what there force fed by the government..

 

Ive been smoking and growing weed for about 4 years. It can get you in trouble, I got arrested in 2009, in school charged with "Possession and intent to supply class B substances". It sounds bad, but you and I know its only weed, what is the harm?

There is none.

There is only a criminal side to pot because the government can not control and tax it. If it was legal, why would people go to the shops to buy weed produced by big ass companies who put lots of shit in. When people could just get it off the supply they have now? Or simply grow it.

For the medical side, look at this history. Not once has there been a single death by cannabis use in the past 5000 years of recorded time using it. (eg, in medicines and herbal stuff).
Ive read a study that pot produces more Dopamine neurons in the brain, but I doubt thats true, even if it is linked to schizophrenia. This is because Dopamine is produced when taking amphetamines and cocaine. And Pot and Cocaine do NOT give the same vibe, i've learnt from experience.

In my opinion, if your from UK where its a class B. I'd carry on, as long as you have a safe supply, don't abuse it, and don't get caught. I was 15 when I got caught and Im 18 now and the bastard is still on my record!

Dimethyl, just to back you up on this quote. The GOVERNMENT case study found out it does in fact kill brain-cells. Want to know what that study was?

The scientists pumped pure THC using a gas mask into 30 monkeys for 2 minutes every hour every day over several weeks. This did kill the monkeys brain-cells. (I think thats right statistics anyway, can't remember). But point is, they did lose brain-cells, not because of the THC, but because of the lack of oxygen the monkeys where getting, while having these masks on. (its like holding your breath underwater for 2 minutes and not expecting to be dizzy)

Don't believe a government case study without looking into it behind the scenes, i'm looking for the documentary now that shows it all, very interesting and nice watch! Shall post soon!

 

I made the final decision today, that I will no longer buy weed, and will ONLY smoke tops once a week, and will only be after a party. Weed has really affected my grades because it just makes me not motivated anymore. I suggest you just limit the amount u smoke, and only smoke on weekends when you don't have to focus on many things.

as for me, im stoned right now, but i smoked with friends and for me its a social thing. Im 19 and ive been smoking since i was 16, havent noticed any side effects. Dont listen to ignorant people who try and steer you away from smoking pot. If you get good grades, maintain a decent social life, and enjoy it, whats the reason to stop? however if you are having trouble and school or smoke alone, i would see it as detrimental. its all about prioritizing, maturity helps when it comes to smoking.

 

I have no problem with weed, but I would stop because:

1. Your mother/sister
2. It's expensive
3. Not good to smoke it on a regular basis at your age.

Just my two since, don't want any negativity to them. Smoking pot doesn't always have to be a bad thing, I'd recommend not making a habit out of it if you're going to take school seriously which I'd highly recommend you doing.

I don't want to offend you or anything but some of these people saying yeah smoke smoke smoke, when they're done free loading off their parents, what the hell are they going to do? Become Homeless?

I think you are just avoiding to answer yourself the question, why do you and why are you considering stopping smoking pot? Do you fear something?

 

Even though your banned now, I'm still going to answer this. I was considering stopping simply because it's expensive for someone my age as I don't have a job most of the money I get is what my Mom think's I've earned.

OT: Going to start smoking again this weekend.

 

If you're aiming for a job or a sport it would be a good idea to stop during/decently before Hand if you have to take a drug test

 

You've made up your mind that you think you should stop so do what you think is right, but honestly there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion and I started at your age too. Grades never went down for me, I'm still doing 90's.

 

As long as you smoke responsibly I don't see a problem with 2-3 times a week ? Nothing wrong with that. When it starts affecting you negatively you should stop. E.G. Need it for sleep or need it to eat. I know people who can't be in a good mood without it, you don't want to get like that.

Plus if you smoke in moderation your tolerance stays lower .

 

I personally do not smoke, however, i'm not against it or anything.

But a lot of my friends that smoke seem to get lazy in school, sports, etc..
They're not losing brain cells, but they are spending time getting high instead of doing classwork or even going to class altogether.

If you enjoy smoking i wouldn't stop. Just try to limit how much you smoke to a moderate amount.

 

If smoking pot is making you lethargic, which is BOUND to happen- it would be in your best interest to quit ahead. I really slacked off in high school because i smoked too much, you really don't have anything to gain from a long-term aspect. Just a higher tolerance to weed, resulting in more money spent feeding your habit.
