Tons of bots stuck in freaky forester

I just checked up on my bots (had 6 running), two were stuck in the freaky forester random event. Which I know that my bots can solve flawlessly. They were just in a corner and when I right clicked I saw a full list of characters, all I'm assuming are bots. And there was a whole bunch more characters in corners or running around aimlessly... There must have been at least 40 or 50 bots in that one random.

It's been a while since I've seen freaky forester but it looks as if they changed it just a tad- and my rsbuddy is currently up to date, and I haven't seen an update since last night.

Anyways monitor your bots or turn them off for a bit until this gets updated!

 

Interesting, I did Freaky Forester the other night and didn't see anything like that so it is definitely a recent update.

Doesn't affect me or my business since you can't get randoms in Dung/the Dung lobby but thanks for posting this because it's of course still good to know.

Ive been stuck on it before.. and not sometimes. I thought they fixed it.

 

Grave Digger is messed up as well, you go to the corner and just stand there with RSBuddy.

 

Jagex changed the portal ID's?

Interesting you bring this up... With jagex's update the other day about how they are cracking down on bots, and the threads (here, rsbuddy, and rs forums) about how maybe over 10,000 bots were banned (speculated to be f2p). Maybe this is what they have decided to do to combat bots? Change portal IDs in randoms? Or they will just keep tweaking randoms constantly? Discuss.

Unless they update daily then I don't think this would be viable really, it would sure put a stop to botters because the developers would have to have devs constantly on call for the updates.

 

Or, just bot where there aren't any randoms.

 

I don't blame jagex, botting is royally out of hand and people who bot should at least not be lazy and check up on their bots every so often. I imagine this would be a big pain for goldfarmers which is a good thing, because i want my economy back....

 

Woah thanks for the heads up, I think there may be another random changed.. Unless I got Freaky Forrester again. Just check up on your bots more often now.

 

I got it today, and I fixed by hand advantages of only running one bot.

 

Wow that is extremely interesting. I wonder if that is part of Jagex's big plan to stop the bots.. everybody should be keeping their eyes open for minor changes in the game like that which have big impacts on bots. Thankfully the only bot I am running at the moment is Idung and its still working great I will be frost dragon ready on one of my accounts by tomorrow night, and on another 3-4 days after that!

 

I think possibly a good practice to employ if you're botting is to bot only Thursday through till Monday. The Jagex Updates are every Tuesday, and if you leave that day as well as the Wednesday for any fixes to be made to the Botting Client then you'll likely be ten times safer. Jagex are clearly trying to throw members off and weed out the illegitimate players, so make it harder for them

 

Even if they did, devs would just have to make it such that the bot clicks on the coordinates of the portal and not the ID.
