Religious Charity Pushes UK into Opt-In Porn Access

What are your thoughts on this? I'm sure this could be easily avoided through a proxy, but it seems like a breach of privacy to me. What do you think?

 

Personally i do not believe in God, as alot of other humans says:

Religion is pointless imo, if there actually is a God, how come nobody has any proves?

It has been proven that Humans came of apes, but back on-topic..

I personally believe thats up to the parents, instead of the ISP or the law.

 

This just seems dumb and I do not believe in god.

Would you really want your child not having a clue when it comes to girls until he is 18 years old and can visit his first porn site?

 

I can only say, UK is joining Denmark in being a babysitting Goverment.

They force us to follow their lame rules, wich is not neccesary, let us choose when the kids are allowed to watch porn sites, even if we do change the age, they will find new ways to get around.

 

I thought the u.s was like the strictest country when it came to online stuff. Thought in most european countries you can basically do whatever you want such as hacking and unless its something super big you won't get in trouble.

All you would have to do is use a proxy or vpn, so I guess all the tech savvy kids will be able to do whatever while the non tech ones will not.

 

It will never happen, people will always find a way around it anyway, there will always be porn.

 

Well i dont know how it is in US, but i know that Denmark is babysitting as hell.
They have put in a higher fat tax, to prevent us from eating anything wich contains fat. Wich has caused margerine to costs double price, wich is pretty lame.

However, restriction of something as regular porno shouldn't be in its place.

 

They can't pass this. It's a violation of our rights.

It may happen, but as stated above, there's always ways around things.

 

Lold. Sites like pornhub will experience like a 50 % drop in uk traffic.

 

Kid's will get to their porn anyway, as far as leaks go, they shouldn't keep a list of names, or addresses. The list should instead be made up of IPs allowed to access said sites, would make the leak of such a list meaningless, unless you knew everyone's IP I suppose.

 

I wish I was a hipster and didn't believe in some kind of universal creation/being, but I am not. I mean, not to argue religion, but even Carl Sagan acknowledge some form of creation other than randomness.

But this won't happen, it would be impossible because it is simply private citizen violations. Sounds like a UK police state in the works.

Honestly if families want to block porn access they should do it on their own internet. Restricting it to every one is stupid, they need to realize that lots of other households are alright with porn.
