Training Weapon

I just got 75 attack to use a BGS that I bought. Is it unreasonable to stop using my whip and start using my BGS to train? Whip takes 6 - 8 hits to kill an rock crab, BGS takes usually 4. What weapon is ideal for training? I am going to 70 defense and 70 strength now. Thanks.

Well thats atleast what i am using, tho im using Chaotic Rapier as of now.

Attack Chaotic Rapier/Longsword/Maul<Whip
Strength Chaotic Rapier/Longsword/Maul<Saradomin Sword
Defence Chaotic Rapier/Longsword/Maul<Whip

 

Depends on what overall gives you the best xp/hr. If the BGS' longer timed hits give you more xp/hr than what you get from using your faster whip but takes longer for a kill, stay with the BGS', vice versa.

 

I will be training at the moss giants and have no access to chaotics... Forgot to add that in.

 

I'd say whip is more effictive for training than BGS is.

i train with chaotic rapier, but a whip + dragon defender is good enough if you don't have the dungeoneering requirement.

 

I'd say a whip would be your best bet, I believe the attack speeds gives you a better xp/hour.

 

Whip should be way better xp/hr then BGS, I would try to get some more accurate info if I were you.

 

I don't know what you mean, I wasn't making any claims. I was just asking opinions to make sure that I was doing the thing that would get me the most exp/h.

 

Tbh , Whip is way better BGS is like rubbish I don't like it tbh and that whips more faster.

 

Whip is so much better than BGS, but try to get them chaotics. That will speed up your training so much.

 

Chaotics are hard to get without IDunge and I don't got any cash or GP to get Idunge.

 

A bgs would only be good if you're botting and you're 1-hitting the mobs almost every time. When botting, there is usually a bit of delay between fighting mobs, so the bgs's slow speed wouldn't really make a difference

For the most part, I'd use a whip or a rapier for the best dps

 

sara sword?

whip + dragon defender. not sure how sara sword would stand with it though

 

sara sword for strength, whip for attack/defence

dragon scim for str if you're a pure

ranging guild for range if you're a pure or poor main.

 

I personally don't like the BGS for training. Its too slow. I would stick with a whip for training your defence, and either use a D scim + dragon defender for strength training, or an SS if you want.

Hehe yeah, i didnt notice it.
However for Moss Giants i would recommend Saradomin Sword or Whip.

 

I would have thought whip+dragon defender would beat bgs in the long run though.
