Best Shield to Use for Boss Fighting?

Hey guys. I have a pretty basic question. I was just wondering whether it would be better to use the Chaotic Kiteshield or the Farseer Kiteshield against bossed like the corp, or godwars? I just got 99-99-99 and i've never bossed before.. so.. curious.
(I have farseer, not chaotic)

 

Corp i wouldn't use a shield UNLESS your ranging, then i would get the magic one.
Also will you be tanking GWD or attacker role? and which GWD boss will you be doing?

Farseer is for magic.

Divine > Ely > Chaotic Kite > DFS

 

Oh, yah. I forgot i'd be using the Zammy Spear for corp.
And farseer IS a 14% melee damage reduction. I thought that would come into play more when monsters hit high.

 

You might want to use EEK over those 2 shields if you are ranging. EEK (Eagle Eye Kiteshield) has a 14% damage reduction on Magic, which would be great for Ranging Corp since his Magic attack cannot be fully negated by prayer.

I wouldn't use a shield at Corp for melee unless you are tanking, in which case I'd use an Elysian with a Rune Hesta (p++), then when you are not tanking switch back to Zammy Spear.

I should also add that Nex teams only accept your shield if it is an EEK (if you don't have Elysian or Divine). Main reason I have it

What other equipment is generally required for nex?

 

Pernix or Armadyl, CCB, Ranger boots or Glaiven boots, Ruby E bolts AND Diamond E bolts, Overloads and Brews, Claws

Higher level teams will require Yak and Uni, but I think there are some teams that let you slide by with Tort or something.

Oh and if you do start getting into Nex let me know. I'm bursting for 96 Summon on my PvM account at the moment, then I'm gonna do like a week or two of Dung to get EEK and CCB then I'm no-lifing it Already have all the other gear (Arma, Glaivens, etc.) ready.

 

C kite for nilly everything and it's free. Can't beat that
