As you all know tip.it was hacked.

just did my daily virus scan shortly after going to tip.it and found 10 files in the java was called apps something, i had game mode enabled so protection from sites was disabled at the time.


so make sure you scan

 

is it loading viruses when you visit the site? I don't have any virus protection and I attempted to go the the tip it calc earlier

 

If I recently went on tip.it would I have a virus on my computer?
I went on it this morning to see the Jmod Thread about Mod Kelvin's Password

 

I predict it is yes, as i don't go to any bad sites, and i did go to tip.it today after it was hacked.

 

Interesting...Now I wonder how long the infected files were being distributed.

 

is it me or just the only thing norton finds is tracking cookies lol.

Thats a bit scary I ran an AVG scan aswell as Malwarebytes after visiting Tip.it earlier and my computer came up clean. But still have to be cautious... I don't imagine those hackers have good intentions for anybody.

 

I'm not gonna take any chances. Anyone who can hack a site as big as tip it can most likely get a virus on your computer if they try hard enough

 

Well i use BitDefender, and i had game mode on at the time, did a scan 30 minutes later, and Errors with off, i did a Deep system scam, i pretty sure it was on my C: drive along with my java file

 

I'm 2% into my scan. 7 tracking cookies found so far. Will update if I find more.

 

I visited the site a few hours ago, and the page simply couldn't be displayed.... would the site and the malicious files have been cleared up by then?

 

It could have been, there is a thread on here that show what the page used to look like, with the black background and purple text, that is what i saw. so tip.it may have taken it over again and removed.

Again i'm not 100% sure this is from tip.it but i'm 90% sure it was.

I do not know how severe these files all but i would rather not have these files on my computer lol

 

This is funny, Since Tip.it was the first RS Fansite, I wouldn't be surprised if the Hacked also managed to log every single username and password of it's registered users.

I bet there some nice classic accounts with phats that haven't been logged into for some time.

Yeah! That is why I am only on Sythe. It has been a while since we have been hacked here.
