Jagex Banning Bots ----must Read-----!

They've been stepping up on F2P bots a lot recently.
I run a small farm and I've had a few banned.

 

I saw that post this morning and I really hope they aren't getting serious (atleast on cracking down dung bots) because I just bought Idungeon! And I have 2 accounts that are nearly frost dragon ready and so I am going to be cautious for the next couple of weeks.

But in all honesty, I have seen Jagex make posts like this before and it didn't seen the affect the bots at all. People kept on botting, goldfarmers kept on farming gold, and the legit players kept whining and quitting and proclaiming how much Runescape sucks. I guess we can only wait and see what happens, and hope for the best. I definitely won't be taking my main anywhere near bots anytime soon though.

Jagex has said BS like this since forever.

I'll believe it when I see it, and will welcome it when I see it.

Although I do get an income from iDung, I'd rather have a more enjoyable game experience that comes with everywhere NOT being filled with bots.

 

I doubt anything is going to happen.

Willows, especially F2P, has had a huge ban rate.. forever.

Nothing will happen, jagex updates, bots update. Jagex updates, bots update. Thats how shit works.

Jagex takes forever to implement their updates, bots, take max 2 days.

 

Some tips:

1. Player moderators have very little actual power. Our only "powers" are unlimited, right-clickable priority reports and the useless 48-hour mute.

2. The players getting banned recently fit a multitude of categories:

-Free-to-play Gatestone bots (DOES NOT INCLUDE ACTUAL DUNGEONEERING BOTS)
-Free-to-play Miners, Fighters, Fishers, Woodcutters
-Free-to-play Chat-spamming bots
-BCEL client users (RSbuddy free scripts)

3. NeXus client-based scripts (RSBots.net, Autofighter.org, Codespace.net, OEMBots.com) are and always have been 100% undetectable by Jagex. Scripts on these clients are coded in Reflection, whereas the scripts for RSBuddy and similar clients are coded in BCEL. Jagex can check to see if BCEL is being used and will take appropriate action. On the contary, Jagex is not able to check if Reflection is being used. Bans do happen using these clients, however infrequent they are. Nonetheless, that is the risk one takes when botting.

How does this work with RSBuddy paid scripts? (Specifically Idungeon Pro in my case)

 

um lol RSBuddy uses reflections and is faster, and altogether better than those nexus bots...

Anyway, Jagex does ban f2p quite a bit, but they really don't care much about you as long as you have a good bot and you are paying money to them.
There are many instances where someone has botted multiple skills w/o ban then their members credit ran out and while they were messing around legitly, they were nailed with the ban hammer.
That is as simple as it is.

 

One of my accounts that hasn't botted since it's been membs just got banned today for major macroing :-o

RSBuddy scripts run on BCEL, or 'Injection' as it is called...This is detectable/easily noticed if Jagex were to look.

That doesn't stop me from running iDung on 1 of my accounts, though, even though I am fully aware of the difference between Reflection and BCEL. Just don't give Jagex any reasons to look at your account.

 

They were saying this stuff since 07, and things will just continue to get worse. There's nothing they can do at this point.

 

I was excercising a good amount of caution, botting in a very secluded area (Daemonheim woodcutting island). And just to show you how hard it is to get banned their, i got another account to 91 woodcutting there without getting banned. Then the account was hacked, so i tried to "re create" it by botting it back up on a new account, and then it got banned at 72 woodcut.

I think jagex are actually trying this time. They're taking it very seriously by what they have said and what they have already done.

Mandatory email validation for new accounts. That will definately hit hard on account creation....... proving jagex are actualy very pissed off at rune essence bots, spambots and all that other stuff. Possibly better anti-macro than tutorial island was.

So guys, mass create any accounts you'll need in the future before it's too late, because jagex won't make your mass botting easy any more.

I'm personally happy to see the gold farmers go, but i just hope the p2p ban rate doesnt increase, because i'm trying to get 113 dung, 95 prayer, 99 defense and 96 summ. So yeah enough of my talk lol.

 

The valid email creation will make it a hassle to start up gold farms for those who haven't already. While I love to bot, I kind of hope that Jagex is being serious (though I seriously doubt it). The biggest thing that irritates me is the mass amount of real world trading through sites like gold4rs/gold4fun that have spam bots in f2p worlds.
