    Running 1000 bots

I'm hoping to start an immensely large bot farm. However, I need to know more about three things:

    1. VPS or physical computers, which is more cost effective.

    2. Buying membership, how do people generally get membership on mass accounts?

    3. Can someone please list the bot brands that are either free or have a reasonable cost. Absolutely not paying $10 or $20 for every single bot.

    Thanks a ton.

How do you plan on running 1000 bots? Would be way to hard. Just think each time a update comes out... And I dont even know what to do for computers or VPS. Computers you would need alot of the best custom computers.... Or ALOT not as good computers. I would go with RSBuddy though for your bots.

To run 1000 bots you are looking at a top of the line everything, it is just smarter to run a 40 - 50 bot farm. You have to consider that you are dishing out 5 - 7 USD per membership, then money for the computers, then money for electricity, paying for VPSes, and all of that... Not to mention Auths for bots, because you will probably get banned running a gold farming operation.

Unless you have the 5k+ starting capital you would need.

Wow, bit overboard running 1000 bots, would stick to 50 max. even then there's doubts involved.

Do you really expect serious answers? I assume this is a troll thread as the idea of running 1k bots is just fucking stupid...

edit - try running 5 bots, then if possible expand every week if your bots are profitable...

I have 5k+ starting capital and willing to do it, Nero what do you mean banned running a gold farming operaton? Runescape accounts banned, or banned by the bot makers?

Accounts, and it is just stupid because you are looking at huge power bills, 6 - 20 USD per auth, 700 - 2k USD per computer, huge VPS bills, and then wages if you are going to hire a bot babysitter. You are better off investing your money in something that isn't an unstable market, look into buying gold or considering running a smaller operation.

The most bots I've ever seen handled on 1 computer was 62 and it was laggy and it had a nice system So if you're doing physical computers good luck on getting the cash to buy 16 4k+ computers lol vps won't be cheap either. tbh sounds like you're getting over your head I have a bot farm of 106 accounts and it runs me ragged at times when bots are down lol I don't care how much you pay someone I doubt they will wanna log 1k bots each day and if you plan on suiciding them that is just dumb and a waste of cash flow because then you have to restart which takes about a week sometimes more depending on what botting. and then you still don't usually get good cash flow til higher lvls.

I'd recommend starting with 20-30 and then increasing from there steadily

to be honest its not worth spending that much. rsgp is dropping and gold farming methods are starting to fail. everything is dropping and its hard to make profit these days. but its still possible but i wouldnt recommend going all out and dropping 5k right at start. i would maybe start with 1-2 computers and run 30-50 bots and see where it gets you. running a gold farm is actually harder then you think

My computer is a quad core and can run 6 or so bots at once. My computer was $600. So lets see.

    6 x 100 = 600 x $600 = $36,000 just to run 600 bots.

Good luck making your money back soon.

It seems like what really kills it is vps costs, something like $6 per month per account. I guess I'm going to try a trial run of 10 accounts on a vps and see how that works, and then I'll know whether it's worth doing.

As someone said, the market is already too saturated with gold and there isn't really a niche for gold farmers anymore.

VPS's.. No power cost, no computer cost, but things can go wrong with them, and you'll have to buy a few..

Really? My computer is a quad core 6 gig ram and I can run 13 or so bots.
    It was only 300-350 dollars.

Back to the subject. That's a bit far fetched, but anyhow

    1. I believe it's VPS? However I prefer physical computers. Not too sure sorry

    2. I don't know a lot of people who run massive bot farms.. so I can't really say how they do it. Apparently Kero buys game cards irl. If you rather not do that, buy from the upgrade sections. However you'd probably deplete the upgrade section quickly . Perhaps you could use a CC? (Unless you plan on selling the accounts). You could always get connected with people so that they can buy game cards for you.

    3. RSBuddy, Nexus, Powerbot. You'll be paying about 10 dollars for a premium script.
Cosrob's Big Botting Guide should be handy for you

Wtf kind of math is that? You are saying he needs to buy 600 computers to run 600 bots, when instead you should of skipped half your equation and seen he would need 100 computers for $6,000 to run 600 bots.

Also factor in that the cost of your computer includes a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.

With an efficient botting setup, you are not going to use that for every computer. You will have a dedicated monitor/keyboard/mouse on a switch so it serves its purpose on multiple towers.

Now let's do some math. Even if his 600 bots were making, say, 100k per hour each, that is 60M or about $30 per hour. Since you can (pretty much) run them continuously, that is 1.44B per 24 hours, or about $770 per 24 hours.

With the initial investment of $6000, and a gross profit of $770 per 24 hours, it would take approximately 7.8 days to earn back the money spent on botting rigs.

Now, even if you were to factor in electricity and membership costs (if your accounts were P2P), you would be making a substantial profit each month.

If you were to run your bots 24/7 for a whole month, and I am being EXTREMELY generous by only counting a month as 26 days to supplement script downtime and other difficulties, you are making a gross profit of $20020 in those 26 days.

If you subtract the $6000, you are left with $14020 gross profit to pay off any other expenses plus pocket what you have left over.

BUT, the very next month you are doing this, that computer expense is non existant because it has been fully paid off and you have an extra $6000 in profit or funds to expand.

Now, even if you had labour costs to watch bots/set them up again after RS updates/etc, it isn't going to be a major dent in your profits (and, I should add, it would obviously lead to higher profits than stated above due to me including 4+ days of downtime in the gross profit figure).

    In conclusion, BADA BING.

You're going to need a bot to manage your bots.

You are going to overload whatever you bot pushing prices wayyy down. Costs will be high for you. The price of gold is pretty low and shows no signs of substantially increasing.

I'd advise against trying for 1000 bots.
