I've tried everything to get it, so now I ask you, how important is it? I've tried just using photoshop, but it's just nowhere near the same (Much harder to add depth and such). If somebody would help me get C4D that would also be much appreciated.

Also, on a seperate note, what website can I visit to download brushes?

C4D doesn't use brushes, but if you are looking to do actual graphics... Like beyond text sigs then you should take the time to learn photoshop. It isn't hard at all if you can find good tuts, I actually have been spreading one through the forums and if you want it I can post it here.

I mean if you go around to communities solely devoted to GFX these C4D sigs wouldn't pass really. Go to www.fringefx.net and look around there, there may be a section for 3D modeling and stuff I can't remember.

The best advice I can give is to persevere and not give up because it is a little more difficult to learn, because in the end the quality and uses are far more ranging. If you can do sigs in PS then you can really do almost anything in PS which if you are looking into a career in the multimedia fields can be hugely helpful. I would also suggest learning Adobe Illustrator as it is excellent for business designs.

    I think you misunderstood me.
I have Photoshop and illustrator and the adobe products, but I do not have C4D so it's hard/impossible for me to make those scatter effects and

Cinema 4d is only neccesary for 3d gfx. If you are only doing 3d graphics, I suggest getting it somehow.

No it isn't necessarily needed, and yes you can get the scatter effects you just have to play with filters and smudge settings.

No nero, If you want to get a very particular type of Scatter effect, C4D is a MUST, no exceptions.
However, it is an expensive program. If you are totally desperate, Warez may be a help, but most likely you can try to get a student edition for only $400

The scatter effect in cinema 4D = explosion right? You can achieve the same look with photoshop. Also photoshop recently got a 3D module in it so you shouldn't really have to buy cinema 4D. If you can't afford Cinema just warez it like the big boys do.

I've honestly never used Cinema 4D, or any other 3D modeling programs. Photoshop is one of the core programs in Graphic design, and personally I think you should pursue teaching yourself in it. At the moment I'm studying a Bachelor of Graphic Design and they haven't once even mentioned C4D... the Adobe suite is much more key.

And brush-wise, you should honestly avoid using any pre-made ones... simple splatter brushes for the purposes of clipping masks is as far as you should go. Deviantart.com is a good resource base :)

Nope. Not at all. That's actually pretty naive. C4D has, To my knowledge, at least 3 main explosion modifiers: Explosion FX, Random Effector, and Formula Effector. (I'm sure there are more I don't know about) and each one of the aforementioned have a shitload of complicated setting that need to be understood.
