This past month, he has done a back load of work. Most of everything he has done was behind the scenes, but it has made a huge improvement to moderating.

Hey guys, I'd just like to briefly (and vaguely, I guess) explain my recent lack of activity. I've been having a lot of trouble with my health and right now the internet is not exactly my highest priority. I've been struggling for over a year now but the past few weeks have proved very difficult for me. I hope you'll all understand that I try to keep my activity constant but right now it's just not practical for me to spend so much time at my computer.

 

Oh Giv I hope you recover soon.

I hope you feel better/recover from what you have soon, Verts. Would be nice to see you more active in the community once you put your issues behind you .

Cosrob is doing a very nice job into the Runescape section, both nice guides along with great moderation.

So what I want to address is mainly Giverny. I will make a few points after but Giverny is the main thing I want to talk about. Basically I have been a member of the site for awhile and know quite well how things work. I think that Giverny should not be admin. It is hard for me to think of what you have done lately. Quite frankly, I think our admins should actually be active in the communities and just active and helpful in general. I NEVER see you on sythe, when you are on sythe you do jack shit. You are completely oblivious to anything that is going on in the community. I suspect you will try to defend yourself by attesting that you are, however be truthful with everyone and yourself. You know and we know you are not helping out the community in any way. You have said it yourself "it's just not practical for me to spend so much time at my computer". If that is the case I don't think we need you as an admin on Sythe.org anymore. You haven't done anything in the past, recently you haven't been doing anything, and you have told us that in the future you will be able to do even less. I hope that you have the sensibility to resign, because if not it just shows your incapability of being an admin and proper leadership. It will only hinder the community more if you decide to stay and do nothing. A good leader would be able to see the clear choice and just resign.. Your activity is horrendous and it is quite annoying because you are in the irc quite often. While in the irc though you are not directing your attention towards sythe, you are just complaining or posting some weird pictures or links. Even then you don't participate much...

Some globals :

Nick and clash have not been active in community for awhile. I think they were only repromoted because they were mods before but now they dont do much. Please increase the activity because you are both being carried by the rest of the staff and it looks embarrassing for you guys.

Some globals that are semi active but should improve activity - Karl, giddy, and sacro.

Firez - you do majority of work I see from any staff member, however I think it would benefit you a lot to be a little more professional. You are funny and everyone loves that about you. However your grammar, spelling, and just way of speaking seems very unprofessional (I know I'm not one to speak, but still). Keep up the great work.

Johnk - amazing job

Cosrob- good work I bet u will get global

n4n0 - you work hard and I like that but your attitude is just terrible to be quite honest. You are rude, mean, and one of the most arrogant people on the site. You are very committed and that is good but you talk down to almost everyone I see and you just think you are amazing.

joshishere - idk why you were repromoted, you have done nothing.

I'm sorry but i have to disagree, Giverny is consistently active in the SL even when she proposes that she is away from the site because of her health problems. She fulfills most requests i have ever given her via IRC and on MSN and she is always ready to help with USL Situations which includes dealing with staff, and has, with the combined efforts of Govind, helped re-shape this site in the past month, including how Modlogs and Moderators operate and how efficiently we can catch ban evaders, of course this isn't really viewable for non-staff.

Giverny does have sometimes prolonged absence, but she has made us all aware of this and TBH the admin duties are being handled perfectly. Just because she doesn't post here or there or doesn't respond in IRC doesn't ultimately mean she is inactive. some current admins and even previous admins didn't. I strongly disagree with any kind of resignation put in place.

 

I can't speak on Giverny's behalf but I'll make it clear that first off, all staff members have real lives and that Sythe.org is nobody's first priority; a position Sythe himself frequently makes, and if you could view private staff discussions (especially those exclusive to administrators), you could not truthfully say that Giverny is inactive at all.

Personally, I would say that seeing as Giverny has recently had the idea that Administrators should use an Admin Forum to discuss things instead of chat protocols like we've been doing pretty much since Sythe.org's inception, and that has turned out to be one of the largest administrative reforms this site has ever seen (by discussing things in the admin forum, Matthew, Giverny and I have, as stated above, accomplished far more in a barely more than a week than previous administrative teams have in years), criticizing either her dedication to Sythe.org or her usefulness as an Administrator is absurd.

 

Admins review each staff member's activity every month and anyone that isn't meeting their quota is put on probation. If they don't improve the following month, they are demoted. Thus, while I won't pretend that former experience doesn't play a role in re-promotion decisions, those mentioned wouldn't be on staff if they were chronically inactive. A staff member's apparent activity may be poor, but their actual activity is monitored.

 

Easily one of the strongest staff teams I've seen since I've been here, look around, scam reports are being done within hours, same with spam reports. Good job everyone.

 

Mislead and misinformed, that is all I will say.

Also, Giverny is the most active admin post wise now... Even though she is having some issues IRL. I'm sure she does a lot behind the scenes also.
Not sure how you say that she's inactive.

 

I am pumped for Alt to start modding again, now we will have a real GFX mod. He has already started posting in the GFX section, keep up the good work and we'll get the graphics community back on track in no time.

Great Job to both KerokeroCola & FireZ for their work in the Dispute Section. I have no doubt in my mind that in due course, disputes will be handled as swiftly as scam reports
