After some thought. I'm going to take the engine out, clean up the flywheel, completely replace the oil and gas, possibly a new spark plug (just for good measure).

That should get it running, I HOPE!

Also, botched the paint, re sanding and painting is in order for a few parts.

Haha I once bought a pocket bike that I planned on restoring, but never did..
It's good to see somebody actually doing it

My expectations for this project are as high as yours :)
Post a vid of it working when it does!

Planning on it. :) too bad you never worked on yours. Do you still have it?

Thanks! It's actually motivating me to work on it when I see people are actually interested and support it.

    RUNNING AND I'M EXCITED!

Adjusted both the idle and top speed screws and replaced the oil / gas mixture and she started!

    Thrilled!

Waiting on my new carburetor which should be here Tuesday or Wednesday for my first ride.

Also trying to figure out why the killswitch doesn't work. Couldn't turn the thing off so I had to quickly adjust the idle until it idled so low it shut off. Got the job done.

    STILL THRILLED.

Just waiting on a new throttle cable. Took the carburetor off in preperation for that to arrive, but the website decided they don't ship on Friday so it won't be here until Monday.

Also, me being the impatient person that I am, messed up the paint on one of the fairings so I spent all morning re-sanding and painting that. Have to re-do the graphics now. Only a couple hours until I have to leave until work.

    Boo.

    First ride sometime next week.
Just struck me that I've never ridden a motorcycle of any sort before. Going to crash.

This is really interesting. It seems like you know quite a bit about motor vehicles. Is this the first thing you've done of this nature, or do you have experience with the restoration/building of motor vehicles?

I think it looks great. I like the yellow and black together, and it has a nice, consistent over look of neatness to it.

Thank you! Yeah it's running but there's an odd amount of gas coming out of the exhaust, when in reality there shouldn't be anything but fumes and maybe a small amount of liquid. Asking some friends about it now, but yes it's running!

Thank you! I'm glad you think it looks good! There are some flaws in the paint that I hid by taking a picture at a different angle ;) but I am still pleased.

As for my motor vehicle experience, I'm mainly a statistics person with that stuff but throughout the past two years I've started to learn about the motors and stuff and learn how they work. I tore my car engine apart a couple times but that was in perfect condition. This is the VERY first time I've restored anything and painted anything.

Glad some people took an interest.
