New computer or upgrade current one?

    I have a Macbook
    the small white one
Basically i've had it for two years and i'm finally getting some problems with it
It laggs a lot even after I restart
My battery will drop from 100% - 12% when I unplug it
if that doesn't happen then my computer will just shut off for no reason
Should I get more ram or something ?
    new battery?
or how can i fix the battery problem?

Or should I just get a macbook pro ^-^

You'll probably need a new battery and other things.

Honestly, I'd say sell it on eBay or here, you'd get a good bit of money to put towards the macbook pro.

I think you should upgrade to something other than a Mac.

New battery should fix that problem though.

And to the guy below me, why?

Like everyone has been saying sounds like your battery is near the end of its life so getting a new one should fix all of the listed problems.

take it to your nearest apple store, they will exchange it for free!!! that’s what i did with mine, i had the exact problems, they said the battery short circuited, and that that was "normal", they asked if i would like to exchange at no cost and of course i accepted :p hope i helped :)

As he said he has had the computer for about two-years. Manufacturer defect warranty; Apple products, last roughly a year sometimes less.

    --------------------------------

All apple products are eligible for a product upgrade availability; if they enhance or upgrade the product, depending on the purchase date (which you wouldn't be eligible for) has the opportunity to send their products into apple and they will either upgrade the product for free or for a small price.

However, depending on your experience with apple is determined whether or not you like the computer and want to stay with it, or upgrade to a different Apple product, or just completely do-away with Apple and change to something else; Sony, HP, eMach, Tobisha.

Sounds like you need a new battery, but personally, I would upgrade.

You could just get some upgrades but it sounds like soon enough your gonna need a new one. I would just bite the bullet and buy a new one now if I were you.
