Need help on upgrading my current computer.

Hello guys and thank you for viewing my tread!

I'm now botting about 7-8 bots at the moment with my dual core i3 530 processor and it does the trick so far. Now I wanna expand my botfarm and move on to a stronger cpu, I've already got 8gb ram which I'll never be able to max out, let alone come near 50% when botting, so I need a new cpu. I thought about getting a AMD 1090T that six core processor being that the price is fairly good and I'd hate to throw a bunch away on a i5/i7 when I doubt I'd be able to manage the amount of bots they can run. The tricky part which I'll need your guys help for is finding a fairly good motherboard that will fit in my case, now I dont know what to tell you of information about my case so, you'd need to point it out. The motherboard needs to be able to support my 8gb ram (suppose it'll support any kind, I'm not too amazing about computers), the new processor 1090T and ofcourse fit my case.
I'm from Denmark so linking to tigerdirect & newegg won't help me i'm afraid because I'd have to pay a shitload of taxes and shipping, so I've got this website and hopefully some of you can the hardware. The website is named www.komplett.dk
I'd prefer if someone of you could also explain what the difference is between a 50$ motherboard and a 200$ besides the options for SLI and Crossfire.

TL;DR Need motherboard that fits 1090T, my current 8gb ram and info if it fits my case. Motherboard needs to be as cheap as possible while preforming good.

 

I would stick with Intel if I were you. The new 8 core AMD's don't even compare to some of the quad core i7's.

For about the same price as the 1090T, you can get an i5 2500k which is around 20% better. If you want, I can pick out a motherboard that will fit that one.

 

Price vs performance ratio is better in AMD.

And get the a motherboard that works with it.

 

If you could it'd be awesome - just looking for something that isn't too expensive, I really just wanna see my options here because if it ends up being to much I should just invest in a whole new computer.

 

Pick up an i7 860(or i5 7**) or something, saves changing your motherboard.

Or you could pick up the 2500k/2600k + a new mobo and be happy aswell.

 

i've got an i7 extreme in my rig and it runs fabulous, but it's $1k.

The 2500k ($20-$30 more than the 1100T) is slightly better and will keep you on the new(er) Intel socket that will support most of the Q1 and Q2 2012 processors being released.

I would definitely switch your motherboard though(sorry Noodles) as the 1156 is a dead socket and has no upgrades that are really worth purchasing given the prices and lower performance of 1st gen i7 compared with 2nd gen. (I'm stuck with that socket on one of my desktops, never should have got it.)

I know I know, I'd recommend a MOBO change too.
IMO I'd go with a 2500k with a p67 mobo($350?) over just upgrading the cpu to a more powerful 1156(unless ofc you can pickup a cheap 1156 used)

Could always get a new mobo, cpu + some ram and just get a cheap HDD and crap and run 2 PC's for botting.
