why are the RSOF so awful?

I was lurking on the RSOF earlier and I couldn't help but notice that literally every thread was victim to at least one of the following. Massively high amounts of trolling, outright flaming, or frankly it just looking like 4chan... Now, Runescape has never been known for its great community and I may have a bit of the rose colored classes, but it wasn't always this way was it?
I swear, the mods over there are not doing an adequate job=\ but what else is new in this day and age when I'm talking about Jagex.

I guess my question is, why are the rsof so backwards?

 

Actually, it's because of the new generation of kids being dumber than any other. I swear, if they were put to a survival test, none would live to tell the tale.

 

RSOF is full of nothing but 10 year old kids. Lazy Pmods and dumb fucking college student Jmods, who are also just as lazy and stupid.

And yeah the new kids are stupid as hell.

 

I never go on there mainly for the lack of personalization and unorganization. Although, it's a great place to find teams for gwd or corp.

 

Its all the new kids. I stay away from it unless I need to at a clan's thread.

 

Its basically full of wanna be mods and trolls. I rarely go there unless its to buy/sell rares or check the prices.

 

I've noticed this too. It's just troll and spam after another. That's why I don't bother even investing half a second going into there. If I am too, it'd be to just list a rare for sale and leave.

 

Because they are dumb kids who don't bot.

it wasnt just new people though... i swear i read 20 pages of pro pvmers who did nothing but trash talk everybody who wasnt a pro pvmer and i was just like... i dont want to live on their planet anymore.

 

The RSOF suck because it's the most known Runescape forum. Eventually people get sick of that (certain people, usually the more mature crowd) and move to Sythe/fansite forums.

 

This is why RS is dieing, 1 gold farming bots killing prices, 2 dice clans ruining the fun of the game, 3 the lack of community that there used to be.

Before the GE, the forums had an actual purpose, lots of trading done so people frequented other parts, now its just a wasteland for trolls and ragers.

 

It's all the youngsters, the young children in my opinion.
