what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

I seriously would not want to stay inside selling shaved ice all day, even if it made me lots of money.
I'd rather spend time with a job I like, even if I made less.

    I wouldn't do that.

It would be, if there are lots of gkds in the area where you would sell it.
And you need a licence for it.

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

Although this is now a time where all men are considered equal, who is considered as having more of a class or rank? People selling shaved ice in a trailer, or people working in offices?

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

I mean depending how much work you put into it you make anywhere from 0$-120k+ in 6 months of work the average being about 40k$. doesnt have to be a trailor iether you can use a store location if you want. Most ive seen though have ben trailors parked in front of high traffic areas or attractions.

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

Would you rather be a drone working for someone else in an office, or starting up your own business? I'll take the latter.

This sounds like a "cool" (pardon the pun) business to start up. The overhead seems quite low (buying a $3-4K trailer), and then whatever you need from the franchiser (didn't read the manual). I know that at carnivals and fairs, people pay a big premium for these things, so I don't doubt you could find business. Shaved ice is pretty delicious :)

Don't let the haters pull you down! Good luck!

Good luck man, the perfect place to sell this at would be at local sporting events.
(Local sports games, and personally I know at soccer games they do well or maybe that's because the majority of the people in my area like it haha. I also know that people like Corn with lemon/chili powder, etc.)

I hope you actually go through with it, I'd like to see what it's like from your perspective and read more about this.

They're like snowcones. Or probably are snowcones in a cup.
In my country, it looks something like this:

    OP
Yeah, it probably will make you a lot of money. But I'm just saying that I would not do it, because of the background that I grew up in. We are made to believe that University should be your one goal in life, and that setting up a shop like such makes you somebody lower on the social chain :)

But that's just us and if you're cool with it, go for it. I'm in no position to tell you anything :p

    BTW:
If you want, I will give you instructions for Korean shaved ice. It's a lot better than rainbow coloring in your ice.

    edit:
actually, now that I think of it, I do see a business potential if you bring in something new.
If that brown (red beans) makes you foreignors a big nauseous, you can always leave it out, even though it's the main point of it :p

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

It's a decent form of income, but I can PROMISE you that you will never see more than a $40,000 - $50,000 profit. You can expect to make $15,000 - $25,000 if you find a suitable location where business if profitable, i.e, a beach or a busy park.

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

A 40-50grand profit for 6 months of work is great considering only 10% of americans make that all year. and completely feasable since my community is very outside oriantated ( we all drive around on golfcarts for fucksake over 100 miles of paths )

on a side note my father actually took my Idea and elevated it to new heights lol. anyone watch jersey shore? well my dad is dropping like 100grand starting up few itialian ice bikes and a shaved ice stand lol. after this next summer ill tell everyone how it pans out.

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

I think this is a great thing to start. Especially if you live in a smaller community that has pretty hot summers. I used to live in a small town that had summers in the 100's (degrees) and there was a guy who would always sell shaved ice in the parking lot of one of the grocery stores. I swear there was a line of 10+ people NON STOP.

    I say go with it.

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

Pretty neat idea if you can secure good locations. I haven't had shaved ice in a while but I think these go for $5 a pop. Some locations sell 100+ daily. The expense to make one is less than a dollar I would assume. Try looking into costs of having your business in front of or inside near grocery store doors. Also, check out busy parks, events, ect. Maybe even have a small sign on your cart or hand out business cards saying you're available for birthdays, events, ect.

    I wish you luck.

what do you guys think about seasonal shaved ice?

It cost like 50c each for large ones
like 1$ each if you use "green products" bio degradable cups instead of styrafoam.

small ones run like 15cents each
