Is it safe to change name this way?

I have this acc name with space for over 3 years. Can I just change my space name to something different? Than Change my main name to that space name.

P.S : I have space acc for over 3 years. I didn't buy it off anyone.

According to the offical tutorial name change, it said I must wait 30 days to change it. That method is onlywhen you bought the rare name recently?

 

If the name hasn't been changed in the last 28 days, you can change it anytime you want (as long as you have a membership of course).

 

You wait 28 days, if you've just changed your name you have to wait this long

 

Somebody can take original account name from you after change username twice, IIRC.

DONT SWITCH YOUR NAME. space names are very very rare and jagex has banned them from being created. once you change it you will never be able to get it back. so keep it cause its rare.

 

Oh, didn't read your edit. To transfer the name, you need to change it, wait 28 days, change it again, then you can take it on another account.

Here's a prime example:

Your current display name: H I

You buy membership for the account then change the display name to: Tufdr

"28 days later".

Change the display name again to: Dmforn

Once you have changed the display name from Tufdr to Dmforn then your original display name 'H I' will become available.

That's when you have 2 RuneScape windows open and ready to quickly change your desired accounts display name to your original display name, however make sure it is enabled to be able to change its display name.

 

Oh ok so when my name is changed to Tufdr, H I wont be available yet. But right after I change it to Dmforn, the name will available again instant? That why I should do two browser to get the name instant. Thanks

i was thinking he was talking about a name like " " where it is just spaces. in that case what i said is correct. names like that one and names with all underscores "_____" once changed cannot be changed back to them

 

No no, when you change your name to Dmforn, it becomes available.

 

It is also possible to get back username with multiple spaces - "_____" .

 

I also highly recommend that when you change the name the second time, that you change it to the exact same thing you changed it the first time (to make it less noticeable to anyone who may have been watching it in hopes of taking it).

 

No its not. Jagex made my neighbor change his.... I've also changed one that I own and I am not able to change it back.

 

Yes you can. If you have a multispaced username and changed it twice, you'd have to contact Jagex to get it back. If you only changed it once, you can change back to anytime after 28+ days.

And if Jagex deleted the name themselves, it's most likely because it was either offensive or because your friend was abusing the name (scamming, avoiding reports, etc).

 

Like I said I have one where I changed the name and it will not let me change it back due to the excessive spaces.

 

You can change the rare name to something else, and then wait 28 days. Also, make sure your main is eligible for a name change.
