It is a big prescription drug coming into the young generation that is used medically for things like ADHD, I take it for this reason. But also underground use for college students and game players to better their performance. What do you all think about it? Discuss-
This is coming from someone with a prescription for Concerta 36mg (pretty much Adderall without the bad side effects) just for reference. Adderall and drugs like it are legitimate drugs that are probably over-prescribed and thus abused. Teens use it as a means to increase their focus. I've even heard of kids doing some crazy shit like snorting it, injecting it intravenously, etc just to get high. It's a serious problem, but then again, so is practically every prescription drug. If it has the potential to be abused, it more than likely will be abused. There should be a more intense screening process/diagnosis criteria though. I literally walked into my doctor's office, told him I couldn't focus and was having trouble with impulsiveness and he basically threw ADHD medicine at me. I do believe I have ADHD, but that's not the point. Practically anyone can get their hands on these drugs if they want to. These medicines are also highly addictive which is a huge concern imo. I only take my medicine when I feel like I actually need it because of this. Not in the same way kids who don't have focusing problems do though. They will take it just before a test or while studying for a test thinking that if they're more focused they will be more likely to succeed, when really that isn't how it works. I take the medicine and it calms my mind down to a point where I can focus on a singular thing (honestly, it almost zombie-fies me sometimes.. it becomes much harder to express emotion). For someone without ADHD it will just act as a stimulant.
I come from experience, of the zombify shit. I literally hate taking Adderal because of that shit, but my ADD is so bad that I basically would fail a class unless I took it. Be a zombie, or fail classes. Gotta love having ADD... >.<
I feel like a zombie without it. I tried it for one month and it helped a TON (mostly helps me sit still) but it's pretty expensive so I don't take it anymore.
Had a friend who snorted two pills before a state exam lol. As long as not overly abused, it's fine with me.
I'm prescribed Focalin which is a kind of adderall. It helps me focus in class a lot. I just got it around when i enrolled in college, and now that i look back, if i had it in high school I wouldn't have failed more than likely.
i don't have adhd but i figured it would help while taking the ACT just because i can't focus by the end of the test. Would it be a bad idea?
Man we used to pop 10 25 Mg capsules with our rolls for the night. I remembered being SO GACKT THE F**K OUT from these.
As far as prescription use- it's highly over prescribed. My parents told me when I was younger, if I wanted to take something to help me focus and be more attentive, or I could continue to try teaching myself. I went with the second option and I thank them highly for it. As for recreational use, they are lame in my opinon.. I'd rathr do something harder haha.
I've recently adopted a stimulant addiction. Friends of mine introduced me to both Adderoll and Dexidrine not too long ago, and i've been hooked ever since. The drug enhances both social, and creative intuition for me. I am able to speak precisely, and translate thoughts and ideas with incredible ease. Alcohol was always my crutch when coping in social situations, which ultimately is debilitating and detrimental by the end of the night- whereas adderall allows one to be constructive and contribute to conversation fluently. Tried getting a prescription, but my doctor was fully against it, as im already on anti-depressants. Seems like there is a social stigma going around in regards to stimulants, but maybe im just ignorant and naive thinking that its a perfect drug and will hold no long-term repercussions (Which im sure there are many).
It's aight, I like Adderoll.....I'm usually focused better like when I'm gaming. Personally I've done alot of pills and that is my favorite since it makes me wanna study.
