Noob needs help!

Ok, so I've just hit level 80 on my first account (Night Elf/Rogue) and I am struggling to get a high enough gear score to do random dungeons. My gear score is only 155, and it requires 180. I have PvP gear, and would like to know where I could get PvP Gear for level 80's? since its level 70 + 85 at SW. If you cant, whats the best option for me? Thanks!

 

Start questing in Mount Hyjal and pick the greens/blues from the quests there. You'll have the ilvl required to enter random dungeons in no time.

 

yea like Jokerz said just use the items u get from quests. They are realy good items and it wont take long for you to get the item lvl required to do the randoms. I would suggest not using PvP gear to lvl and only use it for PvP as the stats are not great for lvling

 

Thanks guys, I ended up doing some Cata quests, so I'm on my way there! hit the level cap though so I'm 1 XP away from lvl 81! I'm trying to get a cheap key on Sythe if anyone knows where? Thanks

 

For future reference, you can buy pvp gear at the following levels on your way too 85.
60 - Yes full set, all armor, /trinkets and rings/neck/ect, just have to go to a lot of vendor to get it all as compared to 70 and 80.
70 - Full set in the SW vendor, most people are in full pvp gear from 60 still till this point.
80 - Most skip this, just because the new Cataclysm gear is amazing, but i suppose if you wanted to you could get a full set of wrathful in SW ( Though it cost the same as a full set of the current starting pvp gear, so its a huge waste of honor if you ask me ).

 

I just went to AH and bought some green cata gear, there is some sets too.

 

Buy some of the bloodthirsty pvp sets. It will bump your ilevel a ton.

 

He's leveling from 80-85. You can only wear Bloodthirsty at 85.

 

I just noticed that.......correction the cata sets are pretty cheap. and wrathful is cheap now.

 

Buy cata greens for 78-80, you can get rings, necklaces and stuff. Level 80 wrathful gear is from vendors in sw and dalaran, but not worth it as not many people pvp at 80 now.

 

I would probably get the Ashraka set for its bonuses.
