That's what I mean though, people are suggesting it for thing like broken legs or something, I have yet to see some helpful "smoke weed" advice in personal support.

I still do not support any sort of limitation on the advice that can be given. If something is ridiculous, it can be stopped. That's kind of how I am moderating it at this point and it makes the most sense, to be honest.

You don't give weed to anyone who has broken their leg, as it won't help at all..

    Why not?

Sure, if it hurts it definitely will help.

That was my main point in the first post I made. It really isn't a very good suggestion in my opinion.

You do know this is to STOP people suggesting that others take drugs for their problems?

If your point was that it's not a good idea to smoke weed for a broken leg, then you are agreeing with me in saying that it's stupid advice.

My grandmother used marijuana as a remedy for rheumatoid arthritis, and it really did work.

even the suggestion of this is absolute bullshit. Its bad advice, but punishing one for their opinion, or "advice" is wrong. And I myself am neither for or against weed, but I think everyone should have their opinion, regardless of how stupid, or reckless it may seem to me. Just because you find something inappropriate, you don't have the "privilege" to tell other people how to think.

You can hardly call "Go smoke s0me weed mang!!!11" or "juss get fucked up man have a few shots it will make u feel better" or anything along those lines "advice". I completely support this idea. Who says that the OP even finds weed itself inappropriate? I think the point here is that as advice, the suggestion and/or encouragement of drugs and alcohol is hardly appropriate. I have nothing against weed whatsoever, and have smoked more than my fair share in my lifetime. I'm sure we all have.

The whole point of the Personal Support forum is to give those who are suffering from personal issues or in some sort of personal crisis a place to go to to discuss these issues and recieve mature and helpful/thoughtful advice. If somebody was in extreme pain and posted asking for advice, lets say, and a person came along and posted something like, "Hey man, my grandma uses marijuana to ease her athritis pain and it seems to really work for her. Do you smoke weed? Maybe you could give it a try - marijuana is known to ease pain afterall :)", I think that would be warranted as a thoughtful and helpful response. But if somebody makes a post because they are getting bullied at school and that person is at the end of the rope and needs some SERIOUS advice, you don't come along and post something like "Just chill out and smoke some weed or get drunk dude. You will feel better pretty fast". In that context, a response encouraging and suggesting using drugs and alcohol is completely inappropriate and really just spam, as you are putting no real thought into the OP's issues and trying to offer genuine helpful advice. In that context, you are really just being an insensitive asshole.

So Shoopadoop - I stand behind you 100%, and fully support this idea and think the mods should enforce this in the Personal Support forum ONLY. Maybe delete the post and offer a warning the first time it happens, and infract them the second? If your solution to everything is to smoke some weed or get drunk, thats fine. But don't go offering that uesless garbage of advice to other people who are in need of some thoughful and constructive feedback to their problems.

While there isn't much/any empirical evidence to support that smoking weed as the only variable directly causes adverse health effects, there is such evidence in children.

As a general consensus, if you smoke weed before the age of 16 you will possibly double your chance of developing psychosis. I dare say that if you smoke weed at the age of 6, that probability would rise.
