Friend problems.. =(

So yea... I've had a friend problem in my gang and I wanted to know what I could do to ''Fix'' everything because there's a limit to what I can handle.

Here's what happened.
(I'll give fiction names)

Brittany = girlfriend of my old best friend (Now one of my good friend)
John = Old best friend, boyfriend of Brittany
Alexe = Girlfriend of my best friend, best girl friend I have.
Tommy = Best friend. Know him for 4 years, boyfriend of Alexe
Virginia = Girlfriend of Fred
Fred = Boyfriend of Virginia

*All 15 to 17 years old.

So now, I don't know what to do anymore...
I don't know if I should just let them alone and say ''Fuck off, they're not worth it'' or go and explain myself to the girl in question?

First of all though, boys will be boys and we often do skit at each other and other people, but we don't mean it to be a offensive. For example if me and my friends were talking and one of them said his girlfriend didn't want to go out on Saturday, most of us would probably reply with "because you've got a tiny penis" or something insulting like that. But we all know it's light hearted fun and not to take it too seriously. It's just boys being boys..
You shouldn't have really said anything to your friend about what they were saying or anything.

BUT now you have already done it, if she can't see you were trying to help then just leave her to it.. If he really is an idiot then she will find out the hard way and come crawling back to you, at which point I suggest telling her to shut up.

I think that you were doing the right thing by letting your friend know the rude things that her boyfriend was saying. Although its very possible he was just saying those things to show off in front of his friends and make himself look cool (boys do this kind of stuff all the time), those things are still rude and could be hurtful to Brittany. Most girlfriends would not appreciate their boyfriends talking about them in that way..

But obviously Brittany is "blinded by love" right now and cannot see your good intentions behind your actions. She seems to think that your intentions are malicious, and that you only intend to break them up or hurt her relationship with John in some way. This really sucks for you, as it puts you in an awkward position and obviously makes you question your actions and if what you did was right... I believe that you did the right thing though.

At this point I think you should just back away from the situation and stay out of it. Your friend Brittany may need to learn this lesson on her own, and unfortunately the hard way. If it eventually comes down to the point where she discovers that John is saying nasty things behind her back, or they end up breaking up because he is being rude/abusive to her, then I am sure she will come back to your and apologize and admit that you were right all along and she knows that you only had her best interests in mind. Its a tough situation, but sometimes people get very defensive about their significant others, thinking that its impossible that they could say something rude about them behind their backs. Don't beat yourself up about it though, you did the right thing And you sound like a true friend who cares about your whole gang of friends and their wellbeing.
