Change reporting spam

I don't know about you guys, but normally when I finish a post, I am in the habit of quickly hitting tab followed by enter. This works well virtually everywhere on Sythe. However, when attempting to report a post for spam, instead of tab moving the selected item to "submit" it will instead go to "forum rules." Hitting enter will then result in you being direct to the forum rules page.

This is not a huge deal, but is rather annoying when trying to quickly report something. It's also an easy fix. Sythe could simply move the note on reporting posts to above the section where you type your comments. This would make more sense to begin with anyway, because it is information one should have before making a report.

For those of you who are confused about what I mean or am talking about, I have uploaded a picture.

 

What is exactly the tab key for?
I would support this if it is possible, no reason not to.

Edit: wait, does it really kill you to press tab twice? unsupport, also it is a windows feature and it just goes to the nearest clickable tab, so it is just a coincidence that tab lead to "reply" anyways.

 

No, but it's just kinda annoying because it slows things down and is not consistent throughout the whole site. Like I said in the first post, it would be an improvement even if there's not tons of benefits to changing it, but it's easy and there are no downsides.

 

I'm not 100% sure whether it's possible to move the 'Note' to begin with.

However it is definitely not a major concern and I think everything is fine how it is.

Staff shouldn't be worrying about the report button just because it takes someone an extra few milliseconds to press report...

At people who don't support: what would you say if every page on Sythe was not looking the same? annoying uuh?!

It's a minor update but would make things better.

I'm pretty sure it's easy to move things around on a website, although I don't have a ton of experience with that.

It speeds up things for everyone and makes the site more consistent.

That was added about a month ago(If my memory doesn't fail) because of a suggestion. And... it is annoying, having to double tab.

I normally do tab space, so it doesn't open the link, but I have to tab again, or sometimes I close the chrome tab and not report it, having do do it again.

There really is not any reason why this shouldn't or couldn't be done, so why not.

Just tested - works with spam reports as well.
Alt and S are closer together than Tab and Enter or Tab and Space as well.

I'd support if there more people that used this was of posting, I personally just use Alt + S. Or if the admins change it anyway then that's fine with me.

I always have done Alt+S. It's just as fast, no support.

 

I was unaware of alt-s too. Might start trying that, although it's a lot more out of the way. Still not really a reason to not change it to make it easier for those who tab.

Just because that method is fast doesn't mean this suggestion wouldn't be constructive for the community. In fact, there's nothing to lose.
