It's free for sale on most places for like between $80-$150, yeah.

It's free ONLY to people who were in PAX 2011 / London Festival 2011. For ALL other people is NOT free.

The last opportunity to get one of the holographic beta cards will be at Igromir in Russia. Otherwise expect to sit out from the beta until November, at which point beta keys will be distributed online.

Some already have it on their steam que. It wasn't just given to those at the lan it was also rolled out by steam to some lucky random steam owners. Anyone who pays $50 for a beta key it dumb. I would pay 5 if someone stumbles across one early but its not worth that much money to play a demo 4 months before release lol

People who buy closed beta keys are NOT dumb. BF: BC2 Closed Beta, StarCraft II Closed Beta, WoW: Cataclysm Closed Beta, CSGO Closed beta, DotA 2 Closed Beta, Diablo III Closed Beta, etc.

They know what the final product will cost ($50-$60 / €50-€60) and even then they want to play BEFORE anyone else. OK, if you they want before anyone else, they have to pay up to x20 times the RRP price. So easy to understand.
