Race to World First Documentary

For the past year, LFGProductions have been working on a documentary that follows the effort, time, strategy and the competitive nature of racing to get world first kills for each tier of raiding. I have actually been following the production of this documentary for quite a while, and it really is looking promising. They've taken interviews from top-end guilds such as Paragon, Method, Ensidia, FTH, Blood Legion and Adept (Frostmourne representing ).

The documentary follows the race to the Sinestra world first kill, in the first tier of raiding of this expansion. The release date is October 14. If you're an avid spectator of the high-end raiding race, I highly suggest you check this documentary out.

This seems extremely interesting. I know the guys in these guilds dedicate insane amounts of time to achieve these world firsts.

I liked the little Paragon vs. Blood Legion bit .

didnt paragon already win this race? i dont play much wow so i dont know much about it, sorry if i am being ignorant.

 

They did win the race to Sinestra. However, this documentary is going into the mentality of the competition which happens in pretty much each tier.

Went to go watch it today. To my utter disappointment, the sneaky producers attached a small fee on the movie (they never said it would be paid), and it was only a lease of 48 hours. Very disappointed about this, however I'll still probably buy it.

 

Did you end up watching it? How was it? Would you recommend it to others?

IT seems neat but I'm not too interested in shelling out cash for something that's not worth it .

 

I did watch it. It was a well presented documentary that encapsulated the pressure that guilds do face when competing for the world first and also highlights the effort put into defeating boss fights. It was obvious that there was a lot of effort went into making this documentary and I enjoyed it. It was well worth the $3 price tag. It was also obvious that the documentary is intended to educate people who don't play WoW (and hold a stigma against gaming), about why people do things such as raiding. My only concern was that there was a tad too much of Blood Legion in the film, but that's understandable since it was the guild being followed. However, there are plenty of scenes of raiders from other top end guilds.

I highly recommend this documentary.

 

I noticed that too, it was alot about the drama in blood legion. I did think the clips added from the other guilds were alot more interesting to me, except that girl from paragon who was stone faced most of the time.

 

Just torrented this shit up myself, looking forward to watching.
