How many bots can I run?

CPU speed: 2.7 GHz
Cores: 4
Ram: 2gb
Hard drive: 500gb
Video Card: geforce 9600gt

I'm going to say 2 without lagging, 3 max.

However try it so you know for sure.

Just from what I see, you will be able to run many more bots than 3 just by adding some extra RAM. RAM is cheap, we're talking less than a $100 upgrade most likely to get you running 10+.

 

From the sounds of his computer, I think it'd be a socket 775 processor most likely running DDR2 which is fairly expensive in some cases.

You will be able to run 2 or 3 of the heavy bots ( soulwars) or 8 of the lightest (rsbuddy's simple bots) 4 normal bots.

You can't just throw RAMs to a computer.
I'll enlighten you a bit, the resources the bot's are using are the same resources you use when you use firefox or whatever to go through sythe, the same resources any other application like messenger or your antivirus use. I also failed to take into account the OS, but that should take more than 100MB.
So your computer can take 3 miner bots or 2 miner bots and your activity or whatever combination could take place.

 

I have 4Gb RAM and I can run 2bots max (verry laggy) so I don't think it depends on the RAM.

 

The ram defines the maximum amount of bots you can run, if you do not have a motherboard you cannot fully take advantage of the ram, one likely problem is that you are running a lot of shit, another likely problem is your cpu processor or your motherboard (they can't take advantage of the RAM) that's likely if you built your computer yourself or someone without experience, or your OS doesn't take full advantage either.

 

My computer with basically only AV protection and steam running in the background(not doing anything) was using 1.4gigs of ram(i have 6gig total).

W7 with 2gig ram would use around 500-700mbs.

Processor and mainly bandwidth are facts that you have to bear in mind while botting.

As long as the GPU can run runescape it's not overly important in botting.

 

Wasn't aware it was only a core 2 quad(and 32bit os). If it were an i7 or i5 then 10 plus bots isn't anything spectacular. If it were, the amount of RAM he has would be what's impacting the number of bots he can run. In his case now, you have an semi-outdated processor too.
