Giving a price range would be far more helpful.

Tell us more info, what you want it to be able to run, what other games do you want to play (BF3? MW3?) etc.

^^ you'll spend that much on just RAM.

You should be fine with a 600 machine running about 15+ bots, considering you get the right parts.

Ehh, I was looking at triple-chan expensive RAM. I suppose that's not the best for a budget build though, haha.

If you go triple channel with anything other then 1366 youre stupid.

    Dual is faster on p67 & AM3(most budgetish builds would use these 2 over 1366 & 1156) + $100 for 1333, 9-9-9-24 16gig set(4x4) $80 with rebate, or $117 for 1600.

Well, nothing had been specified yet so I went with some good shit. And the 1155 doesn't support triple channel yet so I would have to assume 1366 since why the hell would I go for 1156 and get stuck with an i7 870 as the best I can buy, ya know? 1155 would be the way to go I suppose unless you take advantage of some of the cheaper 1366 processors which in that case, the triple channel ram would be beneficial.

Pretty much. Make sure the cooling and power supply are sufficient. Make sure the case fits everything. Make sure it's all compatible. Don't forget the OS.

All the rest is self explanatory.

i7 is probably the best way to go. But all that may push you outside the 600 range

There's nothing wrong with an i5, I have one and that's perfectly decent.

    OP posted today.. :\

On topic: i5 or AMD and overclock, spend like 25$ on a decent CPU cooler (stock cooler is shit)
i7 is too expensive, just OC an i5 or an AMD processor.

Also I'm pretty sure you won't be needing 16GB RAM for a few bots >.>

i7 if it's in your budget. i5 if the i7 is too expensive..

Don't get an AMD. It may be good for a cheap shit build, but you'll get better performance from almost any intel processor.

    It's not, Lol.

Especially if you're not even going to game on it, get AMD > overclock much cheaper and better ^^
