Am I being scammed?

Im in the process of a trade of gaia gold for paypal cash. Since I'm new and the other person had two vouches I decided to go first. I traded my share and the person received it. But I haven't received their part of the trade, $50. The person claims its paypals fault and they are messing up. Next day she sends 50 cents. She gave me a screenshot of her history but paypal emailed me saying:

by your PayPal account on Sep. 27, 2011 14:04:43 PDT from ---------------
with transaction ID: -------------------. However, there is no payment of
neither US$52.00 nor US$50.00 reflecting in your PayPal account.

The transaction ID: ------------------- is the only transaction ever made
in your account since you opened the PayPal account on September 6, 2011
19:58:17 PDT."

So clearly, the screenshot was edited? Am I being scammed?

Yes, you are not being scammed, you got scammed. Describe what did you traded and Sythe will try to help you out, also make a scammer report in forum.

Next time use a trusted middle man for less chance to get scammed.

 

You got scammed. Report the person in the report a scammer section.

 

That person may have had 2 vouches, but there is virtually no difference between 0 and 2 vouches.
I never go first with a person, unless others have gone first to him or her.

 

2 vouches isnt alot nxt time make sure they have 50+ vouches mate.

Unfortunately, you fell victim to one of the many scammers here on Sythe That sucks man. Sometimes it takes a mistake or two though to learn your lesson and gain the skills you need for future trades. I would never reccomend going first to somebody with 2 vouches and very little posts, as their account was probably just created in order to scam. Always be very careful when trading with ANYBODY, even trusted members, and take lots of screenshots or vid the transaction. Then if something were to go wrong (like it did in this case) you have all the evidence you need to post a scammer report and get the person banned from trading on this site.
