Staff Feedback

I just wanted to reply to that, Kina is currently having some issues with his personal life - I'm not going to go into detail, but I'm sure that's what effects his modding abilities / Salesman abilities.

He's a good guy - and has been a great mod when he was first promoted and a few following weeks after that. Personally I think that he should take a leave until he gets it all sorted out. I'm not sure exactly on the status of it, but I think that would be a good thing to do.

I am not being mean or anything, I just wanted to point out my opinion. He has never been cross with me or anything but at the same time I see that he hasn't done anything to make the community better than it was when we were modless. He just has opened up a shop and isn't better than anyone else who comes to sythe to just open up a GFX shop.

And I agree with the second part of your statement. If he is having personally problems that are effecting the community he should step down.

I have to agree with Emperor_Nero's opinion on Kinaesthic. Ever since he became GFX mod it seems as though his only moderation in the section is to benefit his own shop. He doesn't give advice usually, and many times I have seen posts like "This guy is great at gfx" on somebodies thread, and the next day it will read "No vouching for gfx" (last edited by kinaesthic).

Im not trying to personally attack Kina, I think he is overall a nice guy, but I don't think he is really doing what he should as a mod.

VERY impressed with all the moderators involved in closing out scam reports. Am also glad to see Kero/n4n0 picking up where they left off and contributing to the RaS section as well, great job!

Thanks. We're just doing our jobs. I'm sure that n4n0 and I have a good couple hundred scam reports under our belts, so I'm sure n4n0 is just as glad to contribute as I am.

 

I had a scam report answered and the dude banned today within 20 mins of it being posted, many thanks to Scotty and FireZ who dealt with it.

This update is completely ridiculous, why would you want to post anonymously hoenstly? this update just seems immature, if you want to make a post about a member of staff, why don't you just post it yourself instead of going through a proxy.

 

Because some people can be intimidated by staff and therefore choose not to post feedback. Its better to have it posted anonymously then not at all. I doubt she will add any flaming or rants on there that aren't considered feedback.

Honestly why does being anonymous matter? Who posts the feedback doesn't matter, its what the staff makes of it that does.

 

Exactly, some people are intimidated. Some people are afraid to point out things that have been done wrong.
Are you mad because you can't see who's talking about who? Honestly, it's "immature" to call this update immature. If you don't like it, don't use it.

It's the same thing as the personal support anonymous thing, people aren't always as comfortable as you "may" be.

 

This is true, and it is great update. I hope more people will start posting honest feedback. I personally don't mind speaking my mind when I see a mod/admin not doing their duty, but some people are afraid of what will happen if they do say something. This is a great update and may turn out to be a good asset to the community.

It is not the same as personal support, far from it.
In the personal support section you are posting about your real life not about whats going on on the forum.
i won't use it, and if you are afraid of pointing out something that is wrong you need to grow up because you won't be able to hide behind someone for your whole life, its the internet, if you're intimidated by someone over the internet you are an idiot imo.

 

Perhaps the mod they wish to criticize is a friend, and they don't want to offend them; maybe they believe they'll somehow get banned for it. Or maybe they have positive feedback, and don't want to come off as a complete suck-up. Personally, I don't care what people's reasons are.

However, I hear different views from people on MSN than the ones they're willing to post on the forums, and it defeats the purpose of having a feedback forum if people don't want (for whatever reason) to express their opinions openly.

It's merely an experiment, and if it doesn't attract any interest, I'll simply remove it.

 

Would it be possible to make anonymous posts in the Staff feedback thread, just like in the dispute forum? That would be much easier, especially for you.
