    How can mods be certain?

First take a look at this: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1242235

My question is, how can mods know that the other forum's user is the same as Sythe?

Anyone with your MSN, which most MSNs are public... can go and post under your name and say "Add me [mymsn]" and you get banned?

    Thanks ^_^

I wouldn't like someone go in that forums and post... "Add me [email protected]" and I get banned for nothing.

Just stating my point of view.

A little bit of research could proove if it is really him, and there was a 3 hour delay between report and hammering. I believe firez would do a bit of research, he tends to do that.

I am not sure, but there was a post about this in the past and they said that they are aware of it and don't ban unless they are sure, but I don't know what process they use to be sure.

Most people who are trying to frame someone don't make 500+ posts under the same email if they have nothing to gain out of it.

Yes i remember someone went on one of the hacking forums and atempted to frame, but the poster had a 1 post count and a very recent join date so the sythe admins reversed the ban quickly, realising it was probably a frame.

Registration date is a big factor - most users don't plan to frame someone a year in advance - as is the user's reputation (newer members are less likely to be framed than trusted users).

If a user feels they have been banned in error, the issue will be investigated.
