    Upgrading Computer-

I've already started the upgrade process.
I'll post the previous specs/pictures and have a couple in between start to finish. Any feedback is appreciated :)

    Old-
CPU: Intel i7 950- OC to 4.0 (Noctua DH14 heatsink with 2x140mm Sythe fans at 2000RPM)
    Memory: 1600 Ripjaw series (6x2GB) 8-8-8-24
    GPU: Gigabyte GTX 580 SoC
    PSU: Corsair HX Series 850W
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Motherboard: Asus Rampage III Extreme
    Case: HaF X
Drives: 2x128 Kingson SSD RAID 0, 1x500 WD, 1x500 LaCie external HD

    Mouse/Keyboard: Razer Naga/Logitech G15
    Headset: Psyko 5.1

    New.
What I'll be doing is a full paint job on the Haf X. I will be painting the inside/outside of the case white with the plastic moldings a lime green. The exhausts/intakes at the top/front of the case will be white (the grill). I have also made some purchasing to accompany the new HafX. I've also ordered the Haf932 black edition side panel which I'll paint white as well (no need for the side fan on HafX panel).

    CPU: Intel i7 990x
Memory: 2000 Dominator GTs 3x2gb 8-9-8-24. (The heatsink fan will be painted white outside with green fan fins)
    GPU: Gigabyte GTX 580 SoC
    PSU: Corsair HX Series 850W
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Motherboard: Gigabyte Assassin mobo
    Case: HaF X
Drives: 2x120 Vertex 3 MaxIOPs edition SSD RAID 0, 1x500 WD, 1x500 LaCie external HD

    Mouse/Keyboard: Razer Naga MC edition/Logitech G15
    Headset: Psyko 5.1

The upgrades will be the 990x, Dominator GT's and the Vertex 3 SSDs. Will be posting pictures of old computer and new process when I get home!

EDIT: Forgot the most important parts! Will be adding a watercooling setup.
    Radiator-360 Black Ice Sr-1
    Res/Pump-Koolance 452x2 with MCP655.
    Tubing-Feser Black Tubing 1/2
    Fitings- Silver Compression fittings
    CPU Block-Heatkiller 3.0 1366
Fans-3x 120MM Ultra Kaze 3000 RPM fans for push. 2x 200mm for pull.

I personally woulda waiting for Intels new CPUs when they come out tbh.

Are you keeping your old SSDs for games or something or selling them off?

Already in the process of selling them.
The 2011's will be nice. The 1366 platform will be relative for years to come. The CPU/GPU will need a long time before the become obsolete. Most 775 platforms are still relatively good.

I know I know, was just curious as to why you didn't wait it out. Nonetheless good upgrade.

775 is still okay, but most people with it are upgrading about now anyway for BF3 and everything. :p

The 1366 has some powerful processors, but it's a dead socket. Anything you'll ever be able to upgrade to is already out. So much for pleasant surprises.
