    About me:

Hey all, Ivy Bridge here. Some of you may know me from the support and technology sections. I post there quite frequently about anything I see that intrigues me; usually tech related. I am quite knowledgeable about computers and I'm currently going to school with a major in computer science. The goal is to eventually become a game developer, hopefully for somebody like Bungie or 343 Studios.

    Why you should trust me:

I have helped an innumerable amount of people pick out parts for their custom builds, but some people just don't care to learn all the technical details regarding building their own PC. Some people just want to buy a PC and that be the end of it, which is perfectly understandable. I'm here to fill the gap between custom building your own PC and buying straight from a manufacturer. Manufacturers charge a HUGE premium on their parts, which they already get for dirt cheap. Dell charges like $150 for a 1TB hard drive, whereas I can get you the same exact drive for a 1/3 of the cost. A manufacturer will also use off brand parts in order to save money, resulting in a lower quality end product. I know exactly what goes together and I have built many custom PCs of my own over the last 5 or 6 years. I've built two PCs for family and 3 for myself; my most recent being a little less than two months ago. Pictures of my handiwork can be seen at the end of this thread.

What I can do for you:

Literally anything you need! Simply give me a budget and any requests/needs you may have and I can put it together for you. It doesn't matter what your needs are - I can do Botting PCs, Gaming PCs, General use PCs, HTPCs, etc. The only things I cannot build are laptops, but I will gladly suggest one for you for free given a price range and your personal requirements.

    Order form:
    Code:
    Budget:
What you intend to do with the PC:
    Special Requests:
    MSN:

Prices will be done by a percentage of the total build. All of my builds come with a trial version of Windows 7 installed. Many people on Sythe/other forums sell keys for cheap, so that shouldn't be a problem :). What you do with the PC after you receive it is on you, if you want to crack Windows then so be it but I am not going to put myself in that position for legal reasons (though I may be able to direct you to a guide on how to do this..)

I will be compiling a list of the parts I need and sending them to you for verification. At this time we will negotiate a fee for my time spent building the PC. You will then have the parts shipped to me, and I will put the PC together within 1-3 days (usually a couple of hours from when I receive the parts). Once the build is complete, I will demonstrate that it is in working order via webcam or picture, whichever is more convenient. Once you are happy with what you see, you will pay me the builder's fee. I will then ship the finished product directly to you (most likely via UPS).

I will not be taking RSGP at this time. To avoid any losses on my end, I will not be fronting any money. I do not want to invest my own money into parts just to have somebody cancel an order on me. This should be understandable. This also means that I am not going first. Go through my post history and you will clearly see that I know what I'm doing, and there's no way in hell I am going to commit any kind of fraud, especially involving real money. I will do whatever is in my power to make you feel safe at all times during the process that does not also put me at risk.

As promised, here are pictures of my most recent build:
    http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/4499/img20110823003518.jpg
    http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/5130/img20110901231221.jpg
    http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/5762/img20110901231205.jpg

Please excuse the terrible quality. I took the pictures using my phone :(. I have done a few small updates since the pictures like cable management so I will get better quality pictures as soon as possible.

    Note: (please read)

Please, please, PLEASE be serious about this before contacting me. I have dealt with numerous people who have jerked me around for hours/days about their builds only to back out or never come back online (literally 20+ times). It is incredibly frustrating on my end to put hours upon hours into helping you, picking out parts, talking out the deal, etc. just to have you back out. I am completely serious in this business venture, ALL I ask is that you be as serious as I am. Thanks!

Vouch for Ivy, although he didn't build me a PC, he helped me immensely with whatever questions I had regarding computers. Had I not just purchased a pre-made, I would definitely use him to construct a PC for me.

Genuine guy, trustworthy, and an all around helpful sythe member, good luck with your service :)

Seems like you do a great job, however i dont need one built. What im looking for is more/less an opinion on my next build.
    https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=21553467
Currently this is what ive compiled. If you could i would absolutely love some form of an opinion/suggestions if you have some free time. Also ive never actually installed a WCS but from what ive heard its fairly easy. What would you say?
I also might even be interested in buying it with you building it, depending upon how much you would charge for installation etc. Lemme know please.
    My msn: [email protected]
If im not on you can always leave me a message on pm.

    Thanks! :)

Vouch for Ivy, he hasn't built me a PC, but I sure as heck would trust him too, he knows his stuff. :)

Also, you forgot to list cases for the first 2 builds. And all prebuilts use quality HDDs anyway to this part of your post 'Dell charges like $150 for a 1TB hard drive, whereas I can get you a higher quality drive for a 1/3 of the cost.'
I know it's just an example but the price thing is right(going by what I've seen 10+ prebuilts have used WDD's, Seagates)

<3 Thanks pal. And oh, eh I figured they probably cut corners there as well seeing as they do everywhere else :p. I'll edit that bit and the bit about the cases.

Hello Ivy Bridge, according to newegg.ca (i live in CAN) the price of computer #2 (without graphics) is $345, which mean you have $255 left, which graphics card would you recommend getting ?

Canadian dollars are different than US Dollars, which is what I was pricing everything in. Computer #2 costs about $500 USD to build, leaving me a relatively small profit margin of $100. I also have to consider shipping costs, which will more than likely be quite high - another reason I leave myself a margin of profit. I don't see myself making more than like $50 maximum Computer #2, more than likely less in fact.

Given everything I've said above, I can't really suggest you a graphics card for that build without also tweaking the price I charge you. If you were just wondering the best card in the $250 range, I would say a GTX 560 Ti or the HD 6950.

    edit:

I want it to be known that I've removed prices because I feel like they're unfair to both myself and the buyer. From now on, things will be done based on the cost of the parts. Example: if the parts cost $500, I might charge $50 (10%) + the cost of shipping. Since you will be the one ordering the parts, there's no way for me to rip anyone off by this method. For more expensive builds, we might be able to work out a kind of flat fee. Tacking on an extra $200 to a $2000 build seems a bit much to me. For high end builds, consult with me on the fee.

What would you suggest for a $3,500 budget?
