You should be cautious no matter who it is. The person could have 200 vouches, it doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful with trading.

Tbh, as a newcomer I wouldn't go first to people with >50 vouches
But yeah, I would never go first to a newcomer .. they go first or mm/omm

Alot of things piss me off. This is one of them.

OT: I would say I agree but what if you have 1 vouch and they have 2...

Well, you're in luck. A good portion of OMM's are now free, take advantage of it.

Trade with who you want to trade and under your guidelines. If they don't agree, fuck 'em.

    Problem solved.

I would go first if the trade isn't worth that much.
It's just different if it's about a lot of money.

    who's going first

    Says a new comer >.>?

Anyways, As a new comer I always used to go first. No matter to who it was, as long as they had more vouches than me.

Now a days I don't really go first at all, even to people who have more vouches than me.. They usually don't care anyways I've never had a problem.

This thread [General discussion / off topic] >>>>>>>>>>>>> Market discussion (wrong section lol)

Edit: word of advice for new comers, don't force people to go first. Only trade with some-what trusted members of the community.
Look for donation status (100$+ is usually ok to go first to).
Post count - 500+ is good.
Vouches - Now, these don't always matter but if you're trying to trade safely, make sure they have 50+ vouches, or 20+ with BIG trades.

I only trade with very trusted people anyway, Newcomers are generally a waste of time.

I'm sorry, but this right here is INCREDIBLY foolish.

There's people who "farm" vouches by doing a lot of small trades, using MM's, in order to garner a decent vouch count, and then use those to scam some poor unsuspecting individual, only because they "had more vouches."

NUMBER of vouches doesn't mean shit to me personally. It's the quality of them. If you were to look through my vouch thread, you would find a couple hundred vouches worth 1B RSGP or say.... $750-$1000+. Now say I were to find someone with 800 vouches, but their whole career on sythe, all they did was upgrades.... 800 vouches worth of upgrades, or ~450(my amount) worth of 1b+ middlemans, gold sales, gold purchases, etc. Who are you going to trust more?

For super small gold trades, I usually do Player Auctions. It's a clean .5 p/m usually.

For anything over 100m, I use an OMM.

    You're a newcomer, too.

That's very true, but people seem to be more interested in the number of vouches :/

UNLESS you state the amount of money that you have handled, rather than the number of vouches :)

Then you still have to be able to prove it, which is where the QUALITY of the vouches comes in.

No matter how trusted someone is, no atter how many vouches he has, no matter how much money he has handled, there is always a bit of trust needed. There have been major scams in the past by people who where thought to be 'trustworthy'. If you don't trust the guy, use a (O)MM.
