    What can you bench?

    yeah so i started working out towards the end of last school year ( like may/june ) and i've been hitting the gym mostly every other day over summer, and every school day because I take it as a class. So anyways, I was just wondering what you guys can bench, and your statistics?

    Also, the bar I bench with is 45 lbs, so add whatever the bar weight is into the equation.

    Do it in this format;

    Code:
    Height;
    Weight;
    Bench;
    Height; 5'10
    Weight; 130
    Bench; 35 on each side + 45 bar = 105 lbs.

    Hopefully by the end of this school year I'll be able to bench a caddy (55 lbs each side)

    dam man your that tall! for starting out i would do 10, 8, 6. with warmup sets. so like 10 reps 95lbs for you for first set (attempt 11 if you get 10 by yourself. if you get 11 attempt 12...etc) second set do 8 reps of 100lbs (attempt 9 if you get 8. attempt 10 if you get 9 by yourself.. etc) then for last set of 6 reps 105lbs. then do sum db flys (20s for you).. since you haven't really gotten into a set schedule yet. this is all i would do for chest workout until you get more adapted. also. FOCUS ON FORM AND FOCUS. major keys to a good lift. focus on what your doing, give it your all.. and have good form. no sloppiness.

    @falsifying

    yeh bro. weightlifting class is kind of a waste because you have to rush through your workout often super setting what should not be. you do get results, but it is not worth it to me if your serious about lifting and getting results.
