[Tutorial] How to Increase (&Predict) Number of Running Bots

It's not really debatable, a registry cleaner won't help you run more bots. Performance gains are practically zero.

Please take a read through that, I'm not here to debate the points - they're there for the readers own discretion.

Please don't debate on the thread unless it's strictly having an adverse affect on a computer - it's a known method to improve stability and increase the performance of your computer, I'm leaving the tip there in the event that users wants to try it for themselves.

 

It's not worth arguing with him and there's so much false info in this thread it's unreal.

(No I will not point out all the false info as it's not worth my time and I refuse to argue with idiots on the internet...)

No problem, unfortunately it looks like most people will take his word as the truth and remain clueless as the next person. As I said before he doesn't seem willing to listen otherwise I would go though every post of his and rip him apart.

It's funny as apparently (and I quote) "the fact that you work in IT doesn't mean you understand how a computer works" despite I know what the fuck I'm doing and do my job to a very high standard, this muppet still believes he's right.

When you are willing to listen and I care enough to spent 5mins of my time correcting you, I may do it. As for now; I don't care enough to do so. So in short stop pretending you know what you're on about and stop spreading bullshit, thanks.

I want to thank you for taking the time to write this. 1st because I used! and 2nd because it's EXTREMELY annoying to see threads that say "HOW MANY BOTS CAN I RUN".

Also glad to see that you are bumping it and giving it attention. As soon as it falls down onto page 3-4, the threads (stated above) will begin to pop up.

 

It was a pleasure writing it, it was irritating me as well.

Hopefully people continue to contribute their experiences with their processors so this can be developed into something more accurate over time.

Fact is some computer owners will never clean up all the junk stored on there computer. In some cases using all functionality of Ccleaner could give you a 20% increase in operating performance. Your CPU will always be running at full speed but that doesn't mean your operating system is keeping up. So the amount of bots will never change based on your CPU... but you may not be able to run that max amount if your operating system isn't running to par. I've been on countless computers that I have used Ccleaner to help remove junk and noticed a huge increase in operating performance (not cpu). I use to work part time as a tech and I've come across so many computers with Gigabytes of junk cookies, 1000s of corrupt registries, ect (these will bog down your system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ). A lot of users fail to realize that your system could be totally bogged down by junk. Also I believe a majority of the users here are a little more tech savvy so they haven't encountered a situation like this.

 

Didn't even mention overclocking...

 

Thanks for all the info. I'm currently on an Acer, 4gb Ram, 3.0ghz 2 core. Not too much. But I only ever use 1-2.

Still no AMD processors

 

For AMD Chips it remains the same reguarding ram requirements.

These are just guestimates

AMD Athlon II x2 @ 3.0ghz, 3 Bots.
AMD Athlon II x2 @ 3.8-4.0ghz, 4 Bots

AMD Athlon II x3 @ 2.5ghz, 4 Bots.
AMD Athlon II x3 @ 3.8-40ghz, 6 Bots

AMD Athlon II x4 @ 2.4Ghz, 6 Botz
AMD Athlon II X4 @ 3.8-4.0ghz, 10 Botz

If you have a Phenom Chip or lower, Just go with 1 bot per core.
If You have a Phenom 2 Chip, use the guide above, as cache size more than likely won't have an effect on the number of bots you can run.

Thing to remember AMD chips have a lower IPC, do not support Hyper-threading, and cant overclock as high as their Intel Counter parts.

ON the plus side, they're cheaper than Intel chips are so the cost of a dedicated box is cheaper up front.

 

I normally run 22 bots on a phenom ii x4. I could possibly run 30-40+ if I use certain programs with rsbuddy. But then again with the new delay features I could probably run 30 without any help.
