What is my cpu turbo boost limit (non K)

So ye, my processor is i7-2600(non K) quad core 3.4ghz atm. Does my cpu has turbo boost and whats it limit, also how to active it? Im noob on computers, so just asking away.

 

It has a 3.8GHz turbo boost.
It activates when it needs it, so if you're doing a CPU intensive task and it needs it, it'll use it.

 

And its not possible to OC this cpu right?

 

You can squeeze a few hundred MHz out of it by messing with the BCLK, but it's not recommended.

 

Oh well.. gotta buy more rams then

 

You can overclock it 400MHz, but that'd get like 1FPS in games, so not worth it IMO.

 

Anything over about 4-6GB of RAM is overkill for gaming. RAM =/= how fast your computer is. Main thing you want to look at in determining speed is your CPU & GPU (if we're talking about gaming that is)

 

This, people go 8gig cos it's so cheap(or 12gig if they're on 1366).
It's actually been shown that you start losing FPS at 16gig+ apparently.

 

I dont care about gaming, its my botting pc.
