Herb Prices?

Does anyone know what's happening with the herb prices?

I just tried to get rid of about 5k of different herbs, but I noticed they're dropping very quickly - do you think that they will sell at GE price? I just want to get rid of them so I'm fine with a lose, but should I sell them way under?

 

Most likely from the recent x2 XP weekend. After the weekend is over people just dump the herbs/raw supplies for other skills. The price crashes for a few weeks after then gradually rises back to normal.

 

I would wait a bit till you sell them they are down right now.

 

They crash cuz of XP Weekend. They will eventually go back up.

Could be BXP Weekend as well as ALL the Sorc Garden bots.

The supply is more than the demand resulting in a drop in price.

 

To be honost they are majorly lowered because of over farming... Sorcerers Garden being the main, and the opening on the Edgeville Druid resource dungeon, easy money for new low level p2p members + mains who are too retarded to kill dragons etc etc..

See I agree about the bots thing, but it's nothing new - sorc. bots were even worse a few months ago, but the drops are even worse now so I'm just wondering whether it's the bots or BXP weekend.

 

Herbs are really fucked up right now. I spent 50M on clean ranarr that I planned to sit on and sell around bonus exp weekend. Well they rose for like 2 or 3 days very slightly, and then for weeks, to my horror, they just plummeted and price lower and lower until I finally dumped them for a total 7m loss. Fuck herbs!

 

That's very unfortunate to hear - I guess it's going to turn into a skill like prayer, where the price for leveling it just keeps dropping and dropping sadly.

 

Yeah, well it took me by surprise because it was my first bonus exp weekend. I had talked to numerous people who had been around for previous BXP weekends and they all told me that items like herbs, planks etc. skyrocket incredibly high in price right before the weekend. I bought my herbs maybe a month beforehand, and the exact opposite happened. I don't know whether its because people got smart and stocked up on their herbs beforehand this time around, or whether the increased supply due to people botting and collecting herbs caused the price to decline to steeply. Whatever happened, it totally sucked

Its very interesting what the economy is like right now though. I just bought turmoil for one of my accounts because the price of bones is so damn cheap right now, and items like a Fury or a DFS are now very affordable compared to what the price was a month or so ago.
