    Gaming mouse

    Hey folks,

I'm looking to buy a new gaming mouse. I'm an avid WoW fan, and I raid frequently, which enticed me towards the Razer Naga (http://au.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/mmo/razer-Naga/), as it essentially allows me to minimize use core abilities in heated encounters that require more movement far more easily.

However, I'm looking to play the new onset of games coming out this year such as Diablo 3, DoTA2 and BF3. My main concern is that, the side buttons on the Naga would be useless and possibly impair on performance in D3 and FPS games.

To get to the point, I was wondering whether you guys could recommend me a decent gaming mouse that can handle D3 (requires an insane amount of clicking), BF3 and WoW?

EDIT: Price really isn't much of an issue.

I would really appreciate some advice/recommendations here.

    Thanks.

My brother has a Naga, it's not especially comfortable, but perfect for WoW. My favourite mouse by Razer would have to be the Deathadder.

That's my main problem with the naga. I just don't see it as excessively feasible for games other than action-bar based games like WoW and the upcomming SW:TOR.

I'll look into the DeathAdder. Do you know of any decent mice from steelseries?

    Logitech G500 is amazing.
You can set up to 5 sensitivities, easily changeable.
You can also make a weight adjustment on your mouse, which is pretty good for precision games.

I have the Logitech G9X which rapes. It's very comfortable and doubles up as Logitech so you know you're getting a good item.

The Naga is great. I used to play WoW, it is AMAZING for that. Even when you are not using the side buttons, I find it incredibly comfortable, especially the small lump on the right hand side of it which you rest your fourth finger on. I cannot recommend this mouse enough. It is also helpful for games such as Call of Duty, as you can quickly press 1-2-3-4 to change weapons and use equipment. A must buy.

It's between the Naga and the DeathAdder imo. The Naga will be AWESOME for MMO type games like WoW etc that require a lot of extra buttons/macros. The DeathAdder on the other hand will cater more towards like FPS gaming. I have the DeathAdder because I mostly play FPS/RPG games and it's great for them.

I have the WoW Cataclysm mouse, and it's actually pretty badass. Try it if you have $100 spare dollars.

My question is, what does the deathadder offer that the naga does not? I feel like the naga is superior in every way, and is only slightly more expensive.

Palm Length (edge of wrist to middle finger): 18cm
    Palm Width: 8.5cm

My previous mouse was a standard HP laser mouse (that fit me rather well) had dimensions of 11.5cm x 6cm.

Not sure if that would qualify as big/medium/small :s.

I'm currently deciding between the DeathAdder and the Naga. Both have good reviews. What would you recommend to my palm size?

    Thanks.

The DeathAdder is more practical for every day use. If you're the type that needs to have 12 side buttons, then yeah there's no point in the DeathAdder. Being mostly a FPS player, I don't need a ton of side buttons. Mainly just melee/prone (for dropshotting) so the DeathAdder suits me better. If you're a WoW player who needs tons of macro keys then the Naga is much better for you. I just simply don't need the 12 side buttons, it would get distracting to me since I only need like 2. There's no real right or wrong choice between the two mice, it's mostly personal preference/what you need.

In terms of durability, how do they both fare?

I can't comment on the Naga because I don't have it but the DeathAdder is average at best IMO. In function it is simply great but it feels a little on the cheap side in terms of build quality. Nothing is wrong with mine so far after about 7 weeks of pretty hard use though. Despite the seemingly bad build quality, I would still recommend it.
