Is it still possible to remove recoveries?

I know this is an extremely stupid question, but I was just wondering because some people say its not possible and other people say it is.

If so, what are the steps needed to cancel them?

You can try using this guide to remove your recovery questions. If that doesn't work, you probably cannot remove them anymore.

 

^ Friend used that guide yesterday to remove his recoveries; so yes, they can be removed.

 

your acct has to be locked, then recover it..

 

1. Get the account you want recoveries removed from locked.
2. Click I do not recognize these questions.
3. continue with unlocking.
4. wait for recovery email + recoveries are removed.

Simply use the my password was stolen recovery option and if your appeal is succesful your recovery questions will be removed. With the lost password option they stay.

If you lock the account they will be removed upon recovery.

 

You can't lock your own account on request / on purpose.

just register an email, recover a stolen password. then you should get an email, go through the process and your recoveries should be deleted. it worked for me anyway.
