BattleField 3 OR COD: Modern Warfare 3

I'm sure MW3 will be entertaining (I still love MW2 in spite of how unbalanced it is), but I have the highest expectations for BF3. (Gonna pre-order soon)

 

If you're looking for realism get battlefield, but for a more immersive, enjoyable experience it has to be COD.

 

In all honesty this depends. Are you discussing BF3 vs MW3 for PC or in general?

MW3 is by FAR going to be much larger on console - especially Xbox. I can't have much opinion on this as I have not really seen the game - except the preview from Xbox themselves - as well as it's a console-based game (IMO).

However, for PC, BF3 is extraordinary (alpha tested). That's pretty much all I can "say about it"... but if you look at the multiplayer alpha testing videos that are out on youtube... Reg is spot on for the most part, graphics are disgusting, and they have been working on the knife registration (which was sort of an issue in BC2). They also brought back prone for BF3, as well as making "fully functional bi-pods" for the MGs, which is a HUGE plus. Downsides are: It is going to be on Origin instead of Steam, use the PunkBuster ID system, and will be difficult to make into a highly-competitive game (ie: Starcraft II, CSS, TF2, Black Ops). Even though some people may think competitive games are not exactly a downside, it attracts a HUGE clientele to a game.

Oh... the other thing about (both) of them, is that neither have actual tools (or have not been announced) to go with them... Like CSS has SDK where you can make new maps and mods, etc... That and all the new DLC crap that the companies do annoys (at least some) people.

And... yeah... that's my opinion on the matter.

You should add a poll to the OP. (again my opinion).

 

Nothing can beat BF3, Amazing Graphics, 64 Players Mode, Jets, Helicopters, Tanks, Cars, been able to play as a Commander, sniping from long distances, and having Squads.

I just hope they don't try so hard on making it realistic like they did with Bad Company 2 which ended up been boring gameplay.

 

Mw2 no doubt best fps game imo

I would say MW3 in Singelplayer, and BF3 in Multiplayer

I'll probably get both, even though I didn't really enjoy BFBC2 (I suck at it, that's probably why haha).

 

Getting both here, although it's fucking annoying BF3 won't be on Steam and MW3 will. Wish EA and Valve would just shake hands and have BF3 on Steam, or Origin as well I don't care, just so long as it's on Steam. I guess the Piratebay version of BF3 won't need Origin to play online.

 

Modern Warfare 3 is a shit rehash. Battlefield 3 all the way.

 

Battlefield 3 day of release. Then MW3 after a few weeks used off ebay.

 

BF3 for sure, MW3 is so similar to MW2 so I won't be buying it

BF3 Is Great too but u can torrent the game so i wouldn't buy it

MW3 for Consoles.

I still need to make money to buy both and money to buy upgrades for a PC haha.

 

Every single PC game can be "torrented". This doesn't mean that can be played on Multiplayer. That's why most (smart) people are buying their games, they do NOT play on SP, only MP or Co-Op.

MW3/BF3 can't be played on MP if the game is "pirated". Same with many other games.

 

Do you have any links? I was only able to find a bunch of fake videos on youtube.

 

Let me demarcate the main difference between BF3 and MW3.

In MW3, you can call in an airstrike.
In BF3, you are the airstrike.
