I disagree about the top 20 trusted people. Even if they are trusted doesn't mean they are going to be a good mod. You need to find someone that is hard-nosed but knows how to deal with people.

Most of the top 20 trusted members don't have time to be a mod since they prefer making money over handling mod positions, I highly doubt Viou would have time for market mod but I could be mistaken. I do believe trust should play a large aspect in promotions but a trusted member with a business on Sythe would be demoted quickly since most admins don't like carrying staff who can't handle the load.

That is what I was hinting at, but I didn't want to call anyone out.

Trust should play some part in it, depending on where they are at, but it shouldn't be the entire reason. Nor should they be selected because they are in a global's inner circle. It should be based on merit and ability to act as a mod, but this is getting too off topic.

So, get back on topic. haha

I am active and capable of performing a mod position. Doesn't mean I want it, I would accept a position if offered but just because people are capable of it doesn't mean they want to.

I have made my position clear on this situation, I concur with RS2.

No, since he doesn't have an ex mod rank. Also, this just doesn't go for him, he was just an example I suppose.

I'm talking the other way around... People that WANT and ARE capable. Not that are capable and don't want it.

Idk how you dont want a mod position, maybe its just my opinion, but doesnt everyone always want to clean up the site...thats exactly what the mod position gives u capability of..and thats what its for not to show off or say im better than you, its to clean up the site.

Because being a mod means responsibility and hard work towards the site. Not just a rank.

Some people would love to help the site but just don't have enough time.

I understand not having the time, but what i mean was how could u not want the responsibility of helping out if you have time? and i know its not just a rank thats what i mentioned as well.

Some people aren't capable of handling that kind of responsibility, even if they have the time... Maybe they just aren't interested.

Don't worry, I take absolutely no offence. I want everyone to know that I'm going to work at honoring the points brought up in this thread as just another part of the responsibility that I am ready to shoulder. I'm not expecting everyone to accept me just because the staff has, I'm expecting myself to give people a legitimate reason to accept me. I don't take this opportunity lightly

I don't get why a mod has been judged before he even has the chance to do something. If the staff thinks he should be a mod, then we should at least give him a chance at it. I think that Mohtasa is qualified and believe that you should see what happens before you make assumptions.

Don't judge a book by its cover.

That's what I thought... I was so disappointed when I looked comments that they didn't expect it, that he wasn't known enough etc. And he hasn't been given the chance of doing his job for a day... I'm looking forward his actions and decisions in the site.

When capable people leave, capable people come.
I can send you a list of names that I think could do a great job and easily pass the vote, if you want.

I think that the whole "sufficient evidence, no exceptions" concept is bullshit, That's basically giving every obvious scammer and ban evader the benefit of the doubt and sealing someones fate to be scammed.

There's tons of threads out there everyday that are OBVIOUS scams like "[Paypal]Buying 1.2B - .75/M[PayPal]" from a obvious ban evader who's joined less than 2 weeks ago, with 9 posts. Or what about the same brand new obvious ban evaders selling maxed pures and mains for less than half of their market value.

Why do these people deserve the opportunity to pull off their scam? Mods should be seeking out threads like these and running IP's, that alone would get rid of most of them. What about the painfully obvious scammers, who have multiple people posting of their dealings with said scammer, but lack the sufficient evidence... Because of this concept of Sufficient Evidence before action they're free to continue scamming until someone saves proper evidence.

There's a time and a place for banning without evidence, and such cases are most definitely obvious.
