Market Mods - Reactive Not Active

Loaded with a bunch of fake trades. We caught him lying about a trade where they said they used an OMM for a $1000 trade, made today. We called him out and asked where the vouch was from the OMM. He could not provide it, because it never happened. What happens? He reports the posts, they all get HIDDEN, without resolving the situation.

Market Mods should understand the market. They should be active as opposed to reactive. Right now they don't understand the market quite frankly. If I call someone a scammer, being a Mod on Sythe for 3 years, and one of the top 3 traders on the site, it's probably because they are. Am I going to bother posting an RaSc everytime a sketchy person shows up? No, it's completely pointless. Without MSN logs + RS pics + Linking MSN to profile, etc etc, nothing happens. Scammers can do whatever the hell they want.

We are on a forum. We should be able to post, within reason, on people's threads. If we can leave POSITIVE feedback, we must be able to leave NEGATIVE feedback. Otherwise, the SYSTEM IS BROKEN. Get it?

So sick of seeing these morons get away with ripping off members of the community.

 

Well I didn't touch the thread. I am one of the most acive market mods and you should understand people need to report things to be dealt with. If someone says "oh he's a scammer" we as sectionals can't just go ban that person on speculation. People who say things bad it gets reported as spam. Now I do agree negative feedback should be ok, since even eBay allows that. But when there's no proof to this 90% of the time.

 

There's no proof for the positive either. I was a Mod for 3 years on Sythe, let me tell you something:

#1 - On that thread, he is using tons of stolen Sythe accounts to vouch himself

#2 - All his trades are fake

I'd bet my house on it. Should be obvious to anyone worthy of being a Market Mod on Sythe. You don't make 4-5 $1000+ trades in 1 day when you are a nobody.

Look at the end of the thread. Suddenly everyone is accusing him of scamming today.

Now all the sudden he is selling 1200M via WU within an hour? Obvious.

Just wondering but did you or any of the market mods check him or some of the people that vouched fro him's Ip? There could be a good chance at least 1 of them is ban evading.

 

Here's the deal. He asked me to delete some stuff you said and I ignored it. I can't do much on my iPhone. I think I know what a mod does, personally if you have proof or any accusations you could message a global to investigate. I don't do much in RS markets since I am not as familiar as other parts I will admit but even if you claim these things we need proof to ban someone.

Rage on me all you want but personally you should speak to a global since they would be the one to perm ban and be able to investigate deeps than us.

 

Like I said I've been on my iPhone for most of the day and I didn't see anything of concern from anyone via pm. I always tell people I can't ban someone because you say these trades are fake I could run the ip of each vouch, but like I said I been on my iPhone and it's hard to do much.

 

His OMM trade is obviously fake, he didn't post the OMM that did it and ignored the Comment.

The market mods should be more aware of threads being made and who's making them, a simple lock would have helped.

I will uplaod the whole chat me and R2 had, he is mad i didnt go to his shitty website and purchase gold. raged and he raged more when his post (SPAM) got deleted, and he didnt even get infracted for it, which he shoulda of, rules are rules, govind and many other mods already went through the thread multiple times nothing went wrong and theres no fake trades etc etc, stop raging and accept the loss

 

We do spam reports we don't read the whole thread. If someone reported it and said fake vouch we would check it. Now if there are a bunch of kids saying he's a scammer someone would have made a report. And yesterday I admit I was gone later in the day and just doing spam reports today so I have been active. Questioning a mods activity is not about just patrolling our sections. We have been doing alot of reports lately. Remember there is only like 5 market mods.

 

and yes bubba many mods did. i pmed a few through out the day to get rtid of r2's spam and raging on my thread

 

Also in the chat R2 claims he can get me banned when he knows I didnt do anything and he was just mad but he said he could get me banned just simply by telling govind to bann me, lol he said he didnt need a reason and he would do it, govind looked at the thread and didnt do anything. So failed on that also.

 

I'm raging that you're getting away with using stolen Sythe accounts to vouch yourself in order to scam members of the community.

 

Rsprod investigated this for about an hour today and then deleted ur post and cleaned up the thread, and scottay did to and cskif looked at it. Mods handled it., You broke the rules and raging thats it and you dont know what else to do other then to bash the mods cause you loss. Get over it, your not god, just because you sell alot of gold and a ex mod doesnt mean ever one bows down to you and has to listen to you, get over your self and move on.

 

I think what R2p means is, (No offence to any mod) we need some mods that actively refresh topics and not just do what they see are told and then look into it.

Best way to describe this for me so late would be comparing this to the saying "Being street smart irl". Lots of scamming topics on sythe that i would delete/lock if i had mod.

Usually they get banned after attempting to scam/succeding (sp) in the scam.

Honestly, I spend enough time in the market, and it seems like the only things Market Mods do are move threads and warn people for bumping too much... No further speculation for situations like this.

Yet I have seen ONE scammer report on me about me scamming anyone, yet I been all day taking your customers. Now you make a thread bashing these mods cause you cant resort to anything else. Me being disposed in within a hour for doing nothing shows your lack of mod skills. Around 5 staff members today investigated it. Obviously nothings wrong. Well about 5 different mods seen you post(spam)(raging) and they all investigated it, so it wasn't like it was pointless, once they checked the ips of the accounts and checked everything else and saw everything was legit they deleted your post, so don't cry about that

 

I'm not on anything, you just faked a trade then tried to cover it up.
