First try at image manipulation

Today's my first day. I've already gotten a small bit of help after I spent an hour on this, and made some minor changes.

Opinions please?

If you know who it is, don't mention it unless they says it's alright first. I'll ask, but she's asleep.

 

Kinda looks like you just blurred out the side of her face.
But the makeup addition looks nice.

Also, purple hair ftw.

 

I had a defined cheek bone, but LoS and I agreed that it was too high. I actually forgot to redefine it in the second image, but I'm far too tired to perfect an image that's not going to be used.

 

Hey you got rid of my bags. They were from playing WoW. I liked my bags.

 

You ignored the lighting of the photo, you should have gradiented the cheek bone to give it that light gleaned look. This is also the case for the nose, you also forgot to add the nose piercing back in. Use the before as a reference on where the shadows should fall.

 

It looked so much better after the first draft >_>


After a point I just couldn't stop overjudging myself.

 

IMO you've made her look like an anime character. I don't believe there's any reason to airbrush already perfect skin. Doing so will make your subject look... well, very fake, and that's generally not what you want.

 

Pretty much this. The skin tone is too smooth, if you get what I am saying.

 

Any opinions on this?

 

It looks cheap, and in no offense do I mean this. Kinda looks like you overlayed some lines on the skin and pen tooled in a bad looking heart and halo.

 

^You're right, it didn't take too long, and she didn't appreciate the gesture either. While she said it was amazing, she still deleted it.

Ur first picture manipulation looks great, everything was done as it should. the second image [of the guy] ehh looks like it was ur first time using photoshop and u wanted to include every tool in it. No offense ofcourse, but i would say first one amazing second one not so good.

ya i see that too cuz he took away the cheek bone line, thats not called fixing it thats called taking away human qualities...thats a normal thing to have so i suggest not taking that out
