Thoughts on kanye?

I just want to know what y'all think of yeezy. Some of his tracks are borderline genius, but than he puts out shit like 808 heartbeat and watch the throne


So anyways, I like kanye, I like his production on mos def tracks, and I LOVE college dropout/late registration

Kanye is a great producer, not so much a rapper. I enjoy a few kanye songs, including his feature in Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay (Big Sean). Watch the throne was awful, and OTIS was a great video but horrible song.

 

I like Kanye's "College" albums.
Graduation wasn't bad.
Otis, the song, I don't like. The video was weird, and I just couldn't relate to it.
He should go back to his earlier albums, they were good. New stuff, not so much.

The video was weird, but i liked it merely for the fact they made that Maybach (check spelling) look awesome and Jay-Z's gloves were awesome.

 

Massive Kanye fan, probably my fave artist. One of the best music producers ever.


College Dropout - One of his better albums. He has definitely changed a lot since then, I miss the chill tracks he made on CD such as Spaceship and Slow Jamz.

Late Registration - Another solid hip-hop album. Maybe a lil overboard with the collaborations, but my faves were Roses, We Major, Heard Em Say.

Graduation - Least favourite. It came out the time he sort of exploded in the music industry and went all mainstream. It's still a nice work though - Cant Tell Me Nothing definitely the best track on it.

808's & Heartbreaks - My favourite of them all. It was an excellent follow up album to his mainstream success. Plenty of chill Kanye in this too.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - I guess this is where he started getting a little weird and cocky as hell. There are some really dope tracks on the album and it was my favourite of 2010.

Watch The Throne - Brag brag brag. Admittedly I was little let down by the "masterpiece" that took a year to make, but it is still a solid hip-hop album from maybe the greatest hip hop duo ever seen.

 

The album College Dropout is what got me going on Kanye, i just loved his original style comparing to the other typical hip hop songs. I was so into Kanye West that i started using the name "Kanyeezys" which is the name of his custom Nike shoes.

Lately he hasn't impressed me much at all i dont know if its just because im stuck on other artists such as kid cudi, Chris brown and what not but ill always have respect for the music Kanye puts out.
