Don't you think its a bit ironic that he's preaching about the regression of contemporary rap music, but on all of the single he churns out its just shitty over produced/over fx'd beats with catchy hooks sung by trendy yet irrevocably vapid female pop artists

 

That was the point of this post, to show the irony, which is why Syllables is first.

But also, Eminem actually sings LYRICS in the overplayed and overproduced songs, not just throwing around some shit about "slappin' hoes and gettin' dat dough" like the majority of mainstream artists like Lil' Wayne and all of Young Money except for artists like Drake, which actually puts emotion into his lyrics and songs.

I agree. His songs were always a mix of emotion/comedy, but now it's all emotion, anger, and rage.

I miss tracks like Just Lose It and Without Me :/
Not saying that the new ones are bad. They're dope in my opinion, but just wish that he would loosen up on the lyrics a bit ]

Honestly, auto-tune isn't real singing.
I can sing and auto-tune my voice, it's not real music.

Eminem isn't funny anymore because his Slim Shady persona was always on drugs or talking about his wife.
His songs are now more about emotion, about his life as it has changed with the death of friends, raising 3 daughters and living his life to be a role model to them. I respect his newest songs. Listen to the lyrics, they have meaning, don't listen to a beat.

Mockingbird, When I'm Gone, and Like Toy Soldiers were all songs that got me emotional, because if you listen, you can understand what he's saying.

Eminem puts his emotions in every song and every lyric, it's his life... how can they suck? And as for the squidware comment, i don't see it. Have you even heard his songs way before the relapse/recovery albums? Those were the best.

Why shouldn't I listen to the beat? The beats fucking important man, it has to accentuate the song. And whats so bad about rapping about pussy/money/weed? Its more interesting than proclaiming your lack of fear. Slim Shady was what made him so good. He's just a bitter whitey nowadays.


How isn't auto-tune real music? It is a real voice, just tweaked. All music is tweaked post production.

 

I never said you shouldn't, I meant that it's not the MAIN reason artists make songs, and if to you it is, then you don't know music.
Rap isn't about a beat, it's about lyrics.
And because rapping about that stuff gets repeated in EVERY song made by artists like Lil' Wayne or Birdman.
All they EVER sing about is gettin' money, and in EVERY video they have semi-nude girls, like grow the hell up. The only reason they sing it and add semi-nude women to the video's is that so men could be like "damn, she sexy, good song."

How is singing about pussy, money and weed better than singing about the truth?
I guess singing about helping people out (Not Afraid) or about problems with relationships (Most of Eminems songs) or about dealing with drugs (most, again) not realistic.... but I guess getting pussy, money and weed everyday is. Yea you're right, what am I thinking.

And there is a difference between TWEAKED music and AUTO-TUNED music. An auto-tuned voice sounds in no way like the original singers voice, a mildly tweaked voice, like Eminem for example, does.
Anyone can get their voice auto-tuned and sound like T-Pain.
