Defence issue, could use help.

Hello guys!

I'm currently leveling a Range tanker. (Future abilities will be 99 range, 99 mage, 95+ prayer, 99 defence and 99 constitution with 1 strength and attack)

Right now i'm at combat level 49 with 22 constitution, 30 range, 45 prayer and 79 mage with 1 attack, strength, defence.

As you can see, i'm still low as far as this pure is concerned. But i'm having a issue with defence. I need to know the best way to level it. Since I won't use melee, defence is a difficult task to level and could use suggestions. I alch in mage so I wouldn't use the defence cast and long ranging casting is annoying since it's slow leveling. Range is slow enough as it is... I don't want to cut the exp to go to defence. The only possible solution I can see is Soul wars. However, that would be an amazing long process from what I can see considering the tickets you use towards exp scale with your current level beyond each game being 25 minutes and having the possible chance of losing and only gaining 1 ticket.

Would appreciate advice!!

 

Do range till 70 defense then do soulwars.

 

Really? 1-70 defence via long range? That would take an eternity lol.

I would just get 40att 40 str then level to 40 defence
after that sw with rune + range gear
use seals on defence it wont take long to level defence after that.

 

I could do that. However, I wanted to keep my attack and strength at level 1. I mean, I could wait til 99 mage and defense cast using ancients in SW. However, idek if you're allowed to use a "defense cast" with ancients.

 

You are allowed but its just a waste...getting a few more attack + str levels wont level once you are at those high levels since your account will be range based.

You know, Pest Control is still an option right?

 

One you're maxed you can afford to get a total of 147 levels in attack and strength before it levels your combat.

So just get 70 attack and 70 strength and the rest is easy.

Plus you'll need to quest which WILL result in attack and strength exp, and you need 69 strength for hand cannon which I highly recommend you get.

 

I recommend If you are really sticking to a TANK then you need all the max def gear for when you are "maxed" as a tank. which means getting attack and str up.

If you want 1 attack/str then, you simply really need to stick to your goal and keep it 1 atk/str because the fun of a pure is having the low combat.

My advice: Do Soulwars/Pest Control after you have leveled your range like you want to. Train you range in Pest control and use points on Def. Or train Def with an Iron weapon. exp is very slow you will be training for a VERY VERY long time.

I suggest using a Dwarf Cannon and training your def with melle. You will be training both and it won't seem like such a hassle because you will be lucky to get 15k/H

 

just bot soulwars and you should be there in a few months. really not that hard, just takes patience.

 

I would use pest control, but thats because i love it If you do with like 40 att/str you should train df with that. Soul wars is also a good option but it is boring in my opinion. Best of luck with your account! =)
