A Hushmail Guide

Why should I use Hushmail?
Hushmail is free and is one of the most safest and most secure public domain email you can use. The reason why it is so secure and recoverproof is because you cannot recover the passphrase. Unlike MSN and hotmail, there is no way that your email can be compromised through "email recovery", simply because there is no way you can do it through Hushmail.


Creating a Hushmail
To create a Hushmail, go to hushmail.com - On the mainpage click on "Sign up for a free email"




You will then be redirected to the account creation screen...




Fill out the credentials as you desire, and you should be the proud new owner of a hushmail.


Verifying your Hushmail to use for MSN chat
The next part may be the most important and where a lot of people are confused. When you have finished creating your hushmail, you must proceed to the following link to verify your new Hushmail to sign on to MSN with, or else you will not be able to access the Windows Live Messenger chat.

You will then be redirected to the following screen:


Again, fill out the credentials as you wish. The email address you enter will be the same name as the hushmail account you have just created.


Using your Hushmail to get on MSN
If you have followed the steps correctly, you will then be able to sign in and converse on MSN... The paraphrase you enter is what you created with the MSN passport verification link.

And there you have it. Unless you're silly enough to give your password out or are infected by a virus, your new hushmail account is 100% safe and secure from recovery, which is why it is the recommended email to use around here. If you aren't using a hushmail email yet, I highly recommend you do so - Better safe than sorry! ​

 

Always wondered why hushmail's were so popular...nice guide! All of you market people should get this.

 

If you do not check your hushmail account once every three weeks then they will close it, allowing someone else to come in and take your email.

 

As far as I'm aware it only deactivates you from viewing email on the Hushmail website, the email still remains yours and cannot be taken.

I do believe you're incorrect here.
The password cannot be recovered on a hushmail account.

Is it possible to change your password?

 

A common misconception people have is that once you have a hush msn it is safe from hacking. Which is false as all passports are all vulnerable to be hacked.

 

How do you reactivate it?

 

Nope.

To reactivate it if you haven't signed in for 3 weeks, you gotta pay for a domain or something.
