Post counts in important forum sections

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, sorry if I am repeating an old topic - [Edit]I should have read the stickie, apologies. But, I think a big problem in the forum is how easily accessible a particular section of the forum is, especially to newcomers. I believe there should be a post count or the like incorporated in some sections which restricts new users from being able to post threads in the 'market' for example.

I know that it won't stop the more intellectual scammer, but it would filter out a lot of the one-hit-wonders who sign up, post a scam website, program or sale/purchase before getting banned. What do you guys think? I may be missing some nitty-gritty factors but you're more than welcome to contribute to the general idea.

[Edit]I believe there is some confusion, let me elaborate. The idea concerns the marketplace. Just the restriction on posting a thread without some sort of activity in the forum. This would not hinder the users ability to respond to threads already made in any way. I've noticed a lot of threads made by newcomers which go unnoticed or left alone because, yes, they have no vouches and are considered untrustworthy. So why give them the instant ability to make a thread that would in most situations be avoided?

To be honest no, even if that does stop some scammers, most people with no posts/vouches aren't going to be trusted to not go first anyways. It also may discourage people who actually want to legitimately trade with others.

This is on the do not suggest list.
Everyone deserves a change to participate in all intellectual or otherwise forums on our site. Adding a post requirement would just increase spam and lead to the incorrect assertion that post count is a valued part of a trader's trustworthyness.

This idea has been suggested many times, and denied many times aswell. This keeps legitimate members away from the market & if somebody is just posting a malicious link just report the post and the market mods will get to it in a timely fashion. No support unfortunatly.

I'm more concerned about the threads that they are able to make as opposed to being a part of topics already made. I'm targeting the marketplace mainly. All other sections of the forum would stay as is.

I'm talking about posting/making threads, not about responding to already existing ones. This would only restrict those in some sections, not all. Communal ones would remain unchanged.
