How to safely and legally obtain music.

Hi guys, Noob Master here with a follow-up on my free music guide, except this method is also free of charge and completely safe and legal.​

What is needed:

• Any web browser: Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera, etc.
• Itunes or another music storing program
• A video-converting website.

Personally, I like to use Google Chrome. Download Chrome here:Google Chrome - The web is what you make of it

And Itunes,which can be downloaded here:Apple - iTunes - Everything you need to be entertained

The video-converting website I'll be using is YouTube to MP3 Converter - Video2mp3 - Converter. There are others that work such as YouTube to mp3 Converter or Convert Youtube to MP3 Download Youtube Videos - Free Downloader.

Go to YouTube to MP3 Converter - Video2mp3 - Converter and scroll down the page until you reach this.



Proceed to click on the add-on based on your web browser. In this case, because I'm using Chrome, I'll click on the chrome add-on.

Upon clicking it, a dialog box will show up asking you whether or not to add the add-on. Click yes, the add-on is completely safe.



A second box will also pop-up. Say yes to this also.



After its finished downloading, it will notify you like this:



Proceed by clicking on the wrench button on the upper-right hand corner of your browser, then clicking on tools, and then extensions. So Wrench--->Tools--->Extensions.



Now go to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
Pick the which video's audio you want to be converted into a Mp3 file.
I've picked a *********** Bank video, with Tmoe talking lmao.



Under the video, you'll notice the option of choosing to convert the video
It really doesn't really what option you pick, the audio quality usually doesn't differ greatly.



Click any option, and it will redirect you back to YouTube to MP3 Converter - Video2mp3 - Converter
Be patient and wait a few seconds, go few a few other pages and your final result should be this:



Click on it to get your file.
If will automatically download upon clicking the link.



Now open up Itunes. Right click File and go down to add file to library. Or use the hotkey Ctrl+O, and click the file you wish to upload.



And then click the file you desire to be uploaded.



Then, voila!
Your audio should be ready for your ear's content.

Thumbs up to this guide,
The only issue is with conversions from youtube/other sites etc,
Is that if the music you're converting isn't from the artist's youtube channel, the quality of the sound sounds a bit poor, but overall,
Wonderful guide.

 

Quality does suffer as a result but that's the price you pay for free music without viruses.

Or you can download and use Frostwire or Limewire,
But I'm not sure it's legal or not, but how many times does a cop randomly check your comp?>_<

 

Good guide, but I do this in a slightly different manner - I use Youtube Downloader (can google it if you're interested), which downloads the highest quality video possible... Then I just use an audio extractor on my computer, like AoA Audio Extractor if I want straight audio. It is the same concept as what you suggest, just downloads the video and audio (not just the audio).

And he created a guide using those programs, but it is ILLEGAL downloading of music plus the fact that it is Warez, and therefor not allowed on Sythe.

This is a nice guide on how to download any song from youtube, but it's illegal still. All music on youtube that doesn't have a licence or permission from the owner is illegal.

There are some songs that you are allowed to, but for the majority of youtube, it's not allowed.
Buying music > getting it free is always better anyways, supporting the artist shows respect and love.

 

It's 100% legal. No one prohibits you from making your own Mp3's. That's what this software does;makes new Mp3's.

 

You're downloading music, from most likely a video that isn't suppose to have the music, which is illegal.

If i'm right, what you're saying is basically, in other words. Taping a cd with a cassette tape. That's still illegal.

It would also be the exact same thing as, borrowing a cd from a friend & burning it.

As long as you don't download from a VEVO channel or the artist's official channel, it's legal.

 

Only thing I don't like about doing this is that they all get placed under "Unknown Artist" and you can't edit it.

 

Not true.
It's against the rules of YouTube to post any copyright material without owning the song.
The songs that are allowed to be on are the ones you CAN'T rip, cause that's illegal.
But the ones you CAN rip are also illegal, they're just uploaded illegally first.

Nonetheless, it is a good guide.

Yes this is my main way of getting music ever since a few of my songs weren't the actual ones.. It's safe and there are websites that do it for you!

 

Okay. R3 and I agreed that this isn't legal and I am simply going to ban all free music guides as most are illegal.
