How do your parents feel about Sythe?

It IS pretty cool! I've been starting to see that sythe.org is a place where people actually learn life skills too!

 

Not saying it's the most productive way to learn things but it does teach you things you would have never known. I mean thanks to sythe I know the basics of each html and java, I've made my own website, I've made over 3 grand, and learned the true meaning of what trust really is.

 

My parents doesn't really care; as long as I don't do anything bad.

 

I'm 20 years old so my parents don't really give 2 shits about Sythe or what I am doing online.

I did have a really interesting conversation recently with my dad though.. We were discussing the growth of the internet as a tool and just how widespread it has become in our society today, and how dependant we are on this tool. I actually explained to my Dad how Sythe works, and how that silly little game I spend so many hours playing on my laptop is actually used by many people these days as a way to earn massive amounts of cash in real life currency. He was quite fascinated with how big the market is for virtual items, and a few days later he clipped me an article out of the paper about some kids who used Everquest to make tens of thousands of dollars selling characters/items.

I believe it's because of the fact that this website is all about cheating/virtual black market. I assumed, when I created this thread, that most parents wouldn't approve because of the cheating aspect of this website. Normally cheating is a no-no...

 

My parents are divorced. My mom finds it awesome that you can earn money from virtual stuff.

 

I think I will enjoy Sythe* as much as everyone soon, though I'm not sure how I will tell my parents if I can use there cc etc.

My mum thinks it's really cool that I can make money from sitting on my ass doing nothing all day, and my dad thinks the same, so he bought me a new computer. I haven't assembled it yet though.

 

If my parents cared any less... They wouldn't care at all.. Simple.

They get mad when I'm on the computer too long, but they don't really care what I do on here. I actually showed them my profits once and I was surprised at them only being happy and not showing too much concern, obviously they asked how I had gotten money and that was a long story.

Overall: Not to caring about it.
